srithanonchaiNov 9, 2010It's amazing that so many citizens don't even know it's Veteran's Day, or as it used to be named Armistice Day..
Those of us, who have served, thank you, and we thank those of us, who are no longer with us!!!ReactReply - MEMemberOriginal PosterNov 10, 2010

njmikeNov 10, 2010Rock, thanks for posting this. The song is very moving. It reminds me of my father and uncles who served in WW2. In spite of the horrors they witnessed, they never complained about having to fight in that war. I was talking with my dad and his brother (a purple heart recipient) about the war one day and my dad put it simply: We didn't want to go to war then, but Hitler and Tojo were trying to take over the world and someone had to stop them. They have all passed on, and my world is poorer now. I'm still trying to figure out how I can earn what they gave me (and all of us).
Many thanks to all the veterans of the USA and our allies who served in war and peace.ReactReply - TWtwonudistNov 10, 2010

MidGaNudistNov 11, 2010Thank you Veterans for your past and continued service to this nation and other nations that can be called free countries. The price of freedom is not free it was paid for by the lives of our soldiers. I also wish to thank the spouses of veterans for your sacrifices made along the way. A husband or wife that was absent for long periods of time and you were left to serve as both mommy and daddy to your children.
