A few members have apparently left or have been inactive. These forums have been rather boring lately. Maybe we can have a discussion about where some of our old friends went. One was an old curmudgeon who was very smart and likable, if you could get past his crusty exterior and occasional tendency to smack people down. NudeinMa was his handle. I did a search recently, and his profile did not come up. I know he became ill a few years ago, and he was in his 70s. Anyone know?
Others that I haven't searched for, but don't recall seeing in a while but were good contributors before were...EvansBetterHalf(maybe too busy moderating-wait, that's EvanHere, her man I think.)...JackieinOz-a delightful lady.
Anybody know?
Anybody else?

Yes , EBH is still with us and so is Jackie, but she just doesn't post on the forum anymore.  I think NiMA finally had enough of all the troublesome trolls, and felt his good work here had run it's course.
Over the past few years, many good people have left here, and I may soon be joining them.

As you say NiMA found the trolls tiresome and once outed his days here were numbered.
Jackie is in good shape last i heard, a few weeks ago.

He was such a tech expert on the old site, and certainly very disappointed that his helpful posts were obsoleted by the redesign. Always thoughtful and positive.

Cheri_Donna always had a lot to offer and a lot of insight, especially from the feminine point of view. She has logged in very recently but hasn't contributed to he Forums in some time now.

I wonder about Punkin, Yobbie, Elo, and a few of the other certified female chat room users of yesterday.[/quote]
Exactly. He and his band of misanthropes drove more sane people away than anything else.

And he never took crap from people who went after him or sowed hatred. The old saying 'Don't poke the bare" definitely applied to him. And so did 'Do unto others...'

Or presented with things that he disagreed with. Sometimes, he took it too far-as I said---poking the bear. And, I remember him saying that he was a member of a club in Massachusetts-Berkshire Vista. He spoke of it often and mentioned people there . So, the tactic of discrediting someone based on some illusionary perquisite of having punched a card at a place. I know you, Rabbit, and he have different views politically and often argued. That doesn't make him a troll.
