A theory I have...

Edit: Any and all names have been removed to protect those who are innocent and legitimately experiencing this problem.

If I were a picture hound, "perv", "fake", etc and wanted to be befriended by empathetic and legitimate single females and couples, what would be the most effective way?  Hmmm...would it be to list my completely blank, uncertified profile as a single female and then complain on an open forum that too many single males were contacting me?

Maybe...

But this is just a theory.

Jen your riddles are too hard for me!   and now, The thread "New to the site and have question about random friend requests." has gone!Don't you just hate it, when that happens!   Did TT delete it, and or the profile? can't remember who she was now :(

As a newbie she came to the forum with a question and a concern, looking for advice.  And what she got instead starting with the sixth post and continuing on for THREE pages was finger pointing, chastising, in-house bickering and flaming remarks.  That disgusts me and saddens me.
For the record, I apologized to her in the thread AND by PM for my hasty and unwarranted behavior. I'll gladly leave the site myself if it will remove the disturbing influences. In fact, I'm seriously considering pulling the plug anyway. It's becoming evident that my firm stances on a few matters, e.g., the cold war against single males and the tolerance of sex-related groups, are unwelcome. BTW, if this software is at all like other BB packages, only an admin can delete a post, let alone a thread. Speaking as an admin elsewhere, we don't do that lightly, and not because a member wants it.
Nobody is asking, looking or wanting you to leave, NudeinMa.  You have contributed a lot of good things to this site. The longer you stay the more you will see that inspite of each of our differences of opinion, we respect each other.  I'm personally asking that you tone down your posts to newbies, not get so quickly inflamed and understand that even if you tend to disagree with someone on many posts that, unlike a political board or forum, it does not make you enemies.  What a boring place the world would be if we all agreed with each other. The concern the young woman had is a common one on this site. And one that hit home for me. It was a concern I'd had due to bad experiences on other nudist  sites.  When we first joined this site over a year ago at MY insistance we reuqested no single males as friends.  After I'd been made to feel welcome by many single men in the forum as a peer and not a piece of eye candy and after many open and honest discussions (I'll try to find one of those threads for you) I became much more comfortable on the site and understood in a whole new way the plight of single males. Because of their patience and willingness to speak honestly and listen to and address my concerns without anger, I  had my husband remove the "no single males" restrictions.  Had I been chastised, lambasted, derided and disrespected for my feelings and boundaries we would have left the site immediately.  Which is what the young woman did. Her thread in the forum is gone.  Not because site admin pulled it but because she has left the site.  That's what happens when you pull your profile (or your profile is removed).  All forum and group postings disappear with you. So please, don't leave, just take a few deep breaths and really read what the other person is asking before you respond in an angry manner.  It is something I often have to remind myself to do. Not your enemy, Jen p.s.Hereis one of the threads that helped me get over my fear of single men on nudist sites.

But I've started so I'll finnish :) On reflection, there was no reason for TT to remove the profile, so if it has gone, it's safe to assume she deleted it, and the posts would have disappeared with it. I still feel that the site would be a much poorer place without you. Throwing in the towel is not the way to achieve anything. If you do decide to leave, (and I truly hope you don't) I would appreciate you leaving your profile intact, in order to preserve the valuable posts that you have contributed to many threads.

I personally have been very glad to read your posts NudeInMA. I think its great that there are so many people here willing to take the time to voice opinions on whatever subject they feel strongly about. Different views and opinions are what the forum is for. If everyone aggreed all the time we wouldnt get anywhere. No 2 people see everything exactly the same. Before I post a question here I try to go back in the earlier posts and look to see if it has been a topic before, if not then I start a new post with my question. Seeing all the detailed responses from members such as yourself is what I am looking for. I hate to see a good debater go. Debater, is that even a word? You know what Im saying. You cant make soup without all of the ingrediants. If you take away all the different opinions you are left with a very dull discussion. Hope you dont go anywhere.
This software obviously differs greatly from vB, UBB, et al. On those boards, members can leave or be removed, and their posts/threads will remain unless deliberately purged by management. The reasoning is that the vanishing of posts can create discontinuities in the threads.
Quite true, but this software was apparently written by the owner himself, so has a host a peculiarities that might easily happen if one has not forum experience.
I suppose the simplest test is to deep-six myself and see the results.
Take our word for it. If you delete your profile, EVERYTHING you've penned disappears. Threads you did not originate are re-numbered, and the ONLY thing that remains of you, are the bits someone else has quoted. Threads you did originate disappear in their entirety, along with anything anyone at all has posted to that thread. All private correspondences also disappear for both you and the other end of that correspondence. Gallery pics, I'm not sure.
