Hello all. I am new to this site, I signed up just a few days ago, but I am contemplating leaving the site, not because of all of the erections, and some of the innapropriate groups, but because of all the hostility directed towards anybody and anything related to these two things.
I can understand doing what you can, and doing what is in your power to combat truly illicit activities. However, what I see, is a group of users who have formed a self righteous and invasive 'militia' of sorts. I don't like the incest groups, I wouldn't like any groups supporting or fetishizing rape, but all in all, a group who doesn't mind, and may even like to see erections, really isn't so bad; especially if they aren't uploading the pictures onto their profiles (a direct violation of the site rules). I also understand that people playing with themselves in chat can be a problem.
Also, it's difficult to take some of your complaints seriously, when you guys are in groups like "Nudists Without Taboos" and "Let's Swap Photos." And when 99% of your posts and time in chat is spent gossiping about these horrible people, and discussing how horrible this site is at policing in accord with your likes and dislikes, I tend to wonder: why are you even here? Many of the offenders could care less about your flagging of their profiles, and the rest just don't play with themselves when you are around.
I think that my solution to this problem, will be to start flagging these vigilantes for excessively policing the site, or for being just plain offensive. Which is really you are being just as offensive, and wasting just as much bandwidth as the guys having a good wank in chat.

HrVankerOriginal PosterApr 12, 2010Honestly, I don't have as much of a problem with the rules, as I do the way people like you try to enforce them. I wrote what I feel is a polite (however frank) post about my concerns. However I was greeted with a terse response written to alienate, rather than discuss, which was and is my intent for this thread. Thank you for proving part of my point. I believe that my mother's philosophy comes into play here: It's far more effective to educate people on the rules, than to simply yell at them at tell them to get out. I believe that the same princible applies here. I know and understand the rules. I agree with them, I just don't agree with the way that they are enforced by certain users on this site. I believe that there should be a discussion as to proper ways to enforce. Rules such as: No gossiping, no screenshots (that just makes you look more perverted than the wanker, plus it may or may not be illegal), treat everybody equally and fairly, this makes people more receptive to what you have to say, and can go a long way when it comes to gaining their cooperation. And don't worry Rabbit, I trust that you'll hold the door for me if I do leave.

HrVankerOriginal PosterApr 13, 2010As I said, being polite and civil does not depend on what the other person is doing. I'm not saying that you should tolerate trolls, and I think that there are many people on here who may not understand why an erection isSObad. What I am saying is, there are people who just may not have a great grasp on what nudism is about, they may just have started looking into it, and if they do something that transgresses the rules, they may not have known that they have broken any rule. Besides, do youreallythink that there are people out there who's only goal is to destroy TN? No, there just happen to be people here looking to get their jollies, and yes that is abuse of the site. So flag them and move on! No need for screenshots, no need to harass them off of the site. Once again, that sort of thing brings to mind images of mall security guards... Not every person in chat who isn't showing their face is a pervert, perhaps they are new to nudism, and want to make sure that nobody will recognize them. It's somewhat difficult for a guy to try and not show his face on cam, and not show anything else... lol I know it won't happen, but what I would like to see, is all of the policing threads removed, and I would like all smart ass comments unwarranted smart ass comments gone as well. I try to treat every conversation on the internet (whether in a forum or chatroom) as if it were a real life conversation. Even in these last few posts, Rabbit and NudeInMA, would you have said some of what you did, to somebody in real life that you had just met? No, I don't think so... you may be inclined to say some of it, but not all of it. This is called theGIFT theory... feel free to click the link and read more about it.ReactReply - CD

Gerry-4Apr 22, 2010

Hello all. I am new to this site, I signed up just a few days ago
So, how about waiting until you've got to know the place a bit better before shooting your mouth off? We do get a little tired of newbies thinking they have all the answers.
Please understand that FreedomRider doesn't want to stifle participation from new members, or long-time members who are new contributors to Forum. It's just that after saying please and thank you to no avail over 300+ posts to people who just don't want to understand, we think we're talking to a wall. And in some cases, we are. That said, I hope you stay and continue to contribute. OllyJan 1, 2011Well HerVanker you asked a question and got hounded by the Guestapo. You agree with the standards the site calls for and only question the harsh treatment dished out by the vigilantes, who forget we are all human. I've seen strong views from those insisting on a nude picture in the profile and others against wrong views on the web cam. Maybe web cams should be banned to please the Guestapo. The great thing about TN is the veriety. Let's accept our differences and be tollerent.

OllyJan 12, 2011Me again. The misteries of the chat room are now revieled to me. I thought I'd have to have a working cam, having seen all those comments about people being watched without a cam on. How wrong I was. Very few have their cams on and that includes those watching the cams that are on. I'm not moaning. I can always turn off. The people watching me chose to do so and if i get up to reach something and inadvertently "flash" the they can switch me off. SO WHAT'S ALL THE HOO-HAR.
Actually I find it difficult keeping up with the chat, especially as everyone seems to know each other or the chat is moving faster than I can type. So I put my cam on, Say Hi and wait. Someone will pop up or I can see who's watching me and ask "you watching me" That starts a private conversation which I can keep up with. They say that ,when we opt for private cams in a private chat, the chat room cam goes off. Is that the case?ReactReply
