This is just my humble opinion but if this site is ever to be cleaned up as it seems a lot want it too then there should be no "friends only" or "members only" pictures each and every picture should be made available for all to scrutinize and decide which is and which is not appropriate for the site. That only seems fair. As well as anyone who starts a group should at least have a profile picture certainly not leaving it blank. By having no picture of the groups creator how are we to know if it's legitimate or not. What does everyone htink ?? Gary (mallardm45)

I expect most of us check out the pictures and profile of people who view ours. Who is looking at my pictures? Do I want to friend them? Seems to me any nudist/naturist would do similarly. I get a fair amount of obvious "hooker" type views and messages. It must be a common way of advertising porn sites. I flag and block them.

I quickly delete any contacts from people without posted pictures or a bunch of friends only pictures.

It's like walking down the nude beach. Everybody can see me naked. If somebody is hiding behind their towel and only opening it up for some people that seems to me like flashing, weird behavior. I'm here to virtually socialize with like minded people who like living naked.

    What do you think?

What about all of the people who friend them? Is it just to get a look at the "Friends Only" pictures?
What is the primary purpose of this site?
That is the million dollar question. There is so much confusion regarding that purpose some like you think it is true nudism/naturism but others are hear for different reasons completely unrelated to naturism. So the groups the photos and forum and blog posts are focused on things that reflect more sex etc than naturism/nudism

What is this Textile block that shows next to so many names? We always used textile to indicate a person who wears clothes.

The textile designation is just the first in a series of tongue-in-cheek designations for how many forum posts someone has done; one gets more naked designation as one makes more posts. The system is often broken, btw, so in some places everyone seems to be "textile."

I can understand both sides and as previously mentioned all the BS accounts that get created. I never know a 51 year old overweight man could be so attractive to 20 something females with broken english. Since I am in a small town in Kansas and just really starting to reach out to the in person social nudity groups I am a little gun shy to put myself out completely in the open. I hopefully will overcome that shortly but have not reached that point just yet. I will also mention I have another concern is just browsing the different groups and boards I am not seeing a lot of activity so I am also a little hesitant to put pics out on a site where there is not much activity.
I can't say that I like the friends only or private only either. I have an account, certified and paid and my profile is there for all to see. I get many comments, likes, and requests from other nudists, which my wife and I appreciate, we like to see who is making the comments, but on looking at some profiles it is private or friends only.WHY do you hide unless we are your friend? It's time to just get rid of all that shit and make all profiles viewable. Or just allow paying members to view profiles and comment on all profiles and groups. We have paid for the right to do that.
It's the entitlement for me. Y'all can't just exist without telling everyone else how they should exist, can't you? Consent is wonderful and if I'm selective, then whatever you think you paid for is irrelevant to me. This is some high-level Karen energy.

Totally disagree with the idea that you should t have friends only photos etc. Most similar social media platforms I am aware of has the ability to limit what other people can see/access to what you post. I dont think making all photos 100% open would do anything to clean up this site. In fact probably the opposite you would have more people on here trawling through just fir the photos.
There are other things I think that could be done to clean it up. Eg only be able to view cameras in the chat room if you are broadcasting your own. People could still go in their if they wanted to text chat only, but would stop those in there just browsing cameras.

Too much people copy and make screenshots of photos and after you find them in other websites. There are too much fake profiles of guys that just use photos for their dirty mind interests.

So ill continue to keep my photos only for friends and i will continue to add very few friends, only people i trust. After of course at beach everyone can see me naked but not on internet there is a big different from being a nudist and being an exhibitioner on internet. Consent is important also in nudism.

A private profile is worthy of being ignored only, but I do understand why some nudist in sensitive positions might take that approach. The flip side is that it makes it easier for textile looky loos and pervs to hide. As far as photos go, if access to the site was more restrictive, I would make all my photos public. As it is anyone, anyone with an internet connection, could steal one of my photos and try to make trouble for me. I'd tell them to shove it, but that's beside the point. It's a privacy issue. If there are certain photos I just want to share with other nudist and not any stray person that happens on this site, that's right worth having.

The entire TN site should be severely restricted (read forums/groups only) until you are properly certified. I know there are folks who are great contributors that are not certified, but this step alone would cut the spam down to nothing instantly. Most of my photos are limited to certified only. I don't need you to be my "friend", but I do believe you should take a least the simple step to verify yourself as a legitimate account. Yes, the system can be fooled, but 90% of the fakes won't take the time. One more thing I wish they would implement is only allowing profile/background pictures to be selected from your gallery (which goes through an approval process). As it stands right now, you can post any photo as your profile or background photo without it going through any moderation. Hence the plethora of dick pics as the profile photo. John aka cobeachbum
