I started a private Group called Brisbane Walking Trails a few weeks ago now.
I am the sole moderator to this Group. And the group settings are for all new Members to be approved by the moderator.
After the lagging and glitching day TN had yesterday I seem to no longer be able to approve New Members.
Appreciate any insights, thoughts, ideas or real knowledge on how to fix this situation.
TIA.

Stone AndyJul 22, 2022I've heard similar things from other private groups where the group monitor has no control and potential members get an error message.
The infrastructure of this site dates back to 2006 and hasn't been updated. It's like trying to run your PC on Windows XP. While TN is dying, don't expect much from it such as private groups.ReactReply - CI
circbear69Jul 24, 2022I'm an admin for a group and it's saying I need to join MY group to see anything! I'm having trouble with other groups I'm in saying that I need to join them

I have had the same problem. When I try to join a private group I receive a message saying, "Invalid token." I contacted customer service yesterday. Seems like this is a much larger problem than just me.

kevincoxJul 24, 2022Same here. I run about six groups and the same thing has happened, and no doubt the same thing has happened to every person who moderates a group. As frustrating as it is, it's sort of good to know it's not just me. I'm sure most of us have reported it requesting help, so hopefully it will be fixed soon.

EarlDAug 28, 2022Usually it is some kind of glitch from the site code being updated or revised. Suggest you send a message to the admins if it persists
