This group:http://www.truenudists.com/forum/viewthread.php?id=10220.   I've never been to The Grand Barn. It may or may not be a great place. But can a group be formed around what is essentially a business establishment? This would be better for "Places I've Visited" or a true advertisement at the top, wouldn't it?

You're right. I hadn't read it through. My concern is this could be self-promotion of a business, which should normally be paid for through TT1. But if it's not even nudist to start with, then there's that additional problem.

I have to agree with snugglebunny on this one.  I have visited their website and although it is not really a nudist club or resort it bears strikingly similar facets to both.    I prefer my own landed club but would not hesitate to visit the Grand Barn at some time in the future. It's a three hour drive from here compared to 35 minutes to Lakesun so it probably won't happen soon.  And, yes, there are groups dedicated to other locations.  It is really unfortunate that the locations section is limited to U.S. sites only

I honestly didn't know about other groups also promoting similar establishments. On that, I stand corrected.

Section 5 of the Terms and Conditions says "The Truenudists Services are for the personal use of Members and may only be used for direct commercial purposes if they are specifically endorsed or authorized by Truenudists." I guess my doubts were about that more than anything.

I guess my sense of suspicion is heightened a bit these days. I REALLY need a vacation.

I am well-acquainted with the owner of TGB.  I acknowledge that it's not as g-rated as places I prefer to be, but Peter is a nice person.

As said previously it's more nude than nudist.

But, until TT1 "fixes" the locations page to include clubs, etc outside of the US there really isn't much else anyone can do to let people know about locations that aren't already listed.  Phil started a group called Locations New so that people would have a place to list clubs and organizations that can't be added to the locations page, hoping that would help some what.    I'm not really sure I would consider it true advertising as there is no contact information posted (website, email, phone number). Just informative - Hey! We have a clothing optional club that accepts single males.  Is it really any different than someone who visits a club and posts about their experience on the forum?  Or starts a group to meet other people who've been to a specific club/beach/venue/location?  That's one of the features that TN advertises -  a site where you can learn about nudist venues.   Just my 2 cents worth.   Jen. p.s. You know TGB might be a good place for you to take that vacation! I think it's kinda near you!
