Rapidly growing society of disrespect.

Is it just me, or do you find that people are becoming far more discourteous. I'm not suggesting it's all from
the younger generation, there seems to be a lot of anti social behaviour even from the more seniors.
Is the society that we grew up in, becoming extinct ?

YBM...Keep posting...I respect and admire and agree with your opinion here.  There was no disrespect from where I'm sitting..
I agree with yourself and blknudedoodz and I mean no disrespect but YBM has yet to contribute to this thread with an answer to my questions 1 Are you really putting some of us here in this same category? I would like to think we were amongst those standing up for injustice - where would you stand? 2 So if you are not satisfied? Can you tell us why not? 3 Would you be able to earn our respect here? I should imagine you can by looking at what aspects of society you respect and here especialy in nudist terms.
I already answered the one question.  I can't force you to respect me, and I have no idea what the hoops are to jump through to do so, or if I even think it's worth it to jump through them. And I'm not putting you in the same category as people of the 1950's who fought against integration and women's rights and forced people into the same uniforms and rituals just because "that's how it's supposed to be" that was all an example of what we've come from, and what I think people are considering the loss of respect, largely it's just a loss of these rituals. And what are you asking me if I'm satisfied with or not?

The society of today is a product of the older generation. These snot nosed kids are the grand kids and great grand kids of the generation of the good  old days...and their parents are your kids.. Where did it all go wrong if respect and courtesy were values taught in your home.  So all you pointing a finger at those who are to blame...remember 3 of your fingers are pointing back at you!!

A college student challenged a senior citizen, saying it was impossible for their generation to understand his.
“You grew up in a different world,” the student said. “Today we have television, jet planes, space travel,
    nuclear energy, and computers”.
Taking advantage of a pause in the student’s litany, the old dude said,
“You’re right sonny. We didn’t have those things when we were young; so
we invented them! What are you doing for the next generation??
This is great. I love it how hardly anyone on here can contain their contempt for one another in a posting about respecting each other. Keep going - I don't own a TV so this is a great way for me to be entertained on a rainy evening.
It's not great...its really sad and a bit pathetic!

Are you kidding?  I use all your quotes on my blog.  Before you edit them.  You're a really popular character but no one believes that you're real.  Keep writing and thanks!
That's his "I's meen an tuff an u better be askeered uv me!" look. Fearsome, ain't it? Why, one would just quake in unreasoning terror to see him doing that goshawful pose. Of course, there are real-world bad guys who make him seem like a wuss.
Are you kidding?  I use all your quotes on my blog.  Before you edit them.
Oh, gosh, color me impressed. Your blog! Oh, my, the world breathlessly awaits your next imaginary blog post wherein you copy text from other sites, edit it to make it say what you want, and post it for the 4 or 5 children who think you're like ya know kewl. See, it's like this, kid. Unlike you, I'm not a fraud and a phony. I don't need to edit your posts. Their meaning is very clear without having to fake it. E.G:Comments, kid?
I don't know your histories...I've only been on this site a few short months, but following this thread...You guys are totally provoking Soupie into some kind of dialogue that is totally against  the TOS of this site.  If you have a problem with him...Please settle it outside of this forum kids. Or better yet..Grow up and start acting like the adults that you are and quit proving that this is a society of disrespect!! Y'all been flagged!!!

It all starts from the top down. Look at our politicians? Corrupt in both parties in all countries. Look at our teachers and college professors. The good ones are outnumbered by the worthless ones about 10 to 1. My ancestors came to this country through Ellis Island legally. Learned the language because they wanted to be part of this country. Now they sneak accross the border with their drugs and our politians look the other way and then they tell us in our country to push 1 for english? Look in your local phone book, look at the yellow pages. Look at how many pages are Doctors now look how many pages are lawyers? We reward people for having babies with no father in the house. No respect for the law and no respect for anyone else. Look at the crap Hollywood is feeding our children and lets not forget MTV. I could go on for days but it all seems so fruitless.

Just read this on the Drudge report. Obama just asked his education secretary to exempt schools from the no child left behind. This next paragraph was lifted directly from the article.
Montana Schools Superintendent Denise Juneau said she welcomed the waiver proposal, as long as it offers relief from the 2014 deadline. She said her state isn't afraid of high standards and education reform but needs enough time to reach those standards and freedom to institute change in a way that works for Montana.
They need enough time to reach those standards? What the hell have you been doing the past 50 years? You need another 50 years and then another 50 years and another waiver?

    I will only say this:

As a young person, I was taught to be honest and truthful because dishonesty and lies would get me nowhere. Being an impressionable young person, I bought it lock, stock and barrel.

Then one day, I woke up and realised I was probably part of a very small minority. Some of the teachers who taught me to be honest eventually went into politics and had no inhibition in lying about others or about themselves. Some went into business and used the bottom-line excuse for some of the worst injustices ever. Bullies at school kept on bullying in the workplace, and nothing was ever done about them. A well-known priest has since been convicted of sex crimes against children.

This is clearly a culture of "Don't get caught" rather than "Don't do the crime." In that sense, it's probably always been around. It's nothing new. The difference is we get to complain about it on the Internet.

You know what though Gerry if you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything because it is what it is. That helps me sleep at night.

I don't know the history between you 2...and i really don't want to. Please keep the personal fights out of these public forums.  nough said!  I think fear and mistrust play a big part in peoples respect or disrespect of others..No one trusts anybody anymore. There is suspiscion everywhere.  So many people are scamming..its hard to know who to trust...and respect. The nice old grandma (she got her pension taken in the enron scandal) could be be out to steal your money...no one is safe...no one is above suspiscion. Its a crazy world out there...we need to reel it all back in. A revolution starts with a whisper...Lets take it back!!!  Peacefully of course!!

I already answered the one question.  I can't force you to respect me, and I have no idea what the hoops are to jump through to do so, or if I even think it's worth it to jump through them. And what are you asking me if I'm satisfied with or not?
Thank you for answering some of the questions, I wish I too knew what hoops were required but that is all part of the earn't respect? And you seem to be saying that the people of the 50's managed some good despite the forced rituals? In answer to Q2 clearly you are not (and others) satisfied but why not? Did they not do enough, could they have done more? probably yes but they did what they could at the time - and it is your turn now - what will you do with it? Criticize or give us an honest opinion? So my 3rd question goes unanswered - Would you be able to earn our respect here? I should imagine you can by looking at what aspects of society you respect and here especialy in nudist terms. These questions are not solely put to YBM but to any younger nudist here with an opinion of the way forward - with respect!

I don't know how to answer that question?  Am I able to earn your respect... doesn't that depend upon you?  I mean you giving me your respect is you judging me worthy of your respect... and I can't force you to judge in favor of respecting me.  All I can do is do what I think is worthy of respect, and all you can do is determine whether or not you agree. So the question really goes back to "do you find what I do worthy of your respect?"  If the answer is no, then no I cannot earn your respect.  If the answer is yes... well...
