What do you wear when you cant be nude, such as front yard where neighbors and kids can see, etc. My wife wears sun dresses, but I end up in some cargo shorts but am looking for something to be a bit more free...:)

I have learned about 5 different way to tie a sarong for a man. I
looked up traditional male wraps and found multiple YouTube videos
on how to wrap a proper sarong. There is Everything from a loose fit
to almost short like wraps. As a guy, the lightness of the material
and freedom of movement with the security that it is going to stay
on is key. Those polynisian men must know something since they work
and live in these things.ReactReply - NUnudeyooperJun 16, 2016Just bought several pair of hybrid shorts that feel great with and without underwear. The fabric is light, smooth, and stretchy; designed to dry quickly and can be found in many clothing stores. Solved the swimsuit problem without great expense by purchasing spandex type of sports activity underwear to wear at the beach or in the pool at the hotel. They are reminiscent of the suits I had in the late 1960's, yet are much more comfortable and way better than the big floppy wear that is in style today.ReactReply
- MEMemberJun 24, 2016I wear a pair of shorty style 'running shorts' from the old days. They do have a liner and cover just enough of your mid-section to keep from flashing anyone near when I'm mowing the front yard. They're nylon and actually do a good job. Found them on the internet.ReactReply

PaulJan 5, 2017Shorts and sandals normally, and a tea-shirt if I have to such as in the local shop/post office, where there is a mad rule that the food hygiene lot think having a bare chest is a food health issue

OllyJan 7, 2017There are times I have to be fully dressed - Shirt, jeans, socks and shoes. That's at home or in public locally. I'm naked when home alone and on holiday. when having to cover on holiday I wear a flimsy wrap - a very short skirt in light/see through material easily lifted by the slightest wind, nothing else. I've had fun when ladies have realised they can see everything .

NudeColbyMar 31, 2017It really depends on where I'm going. In the summer time I spend a lot of time in southern Florida and anyone who lives or have gone to Florida in the summer knows it's unforgivablely hot and humid. I have few pairs of loose running shorts I purchased years ago. They are not too long and end just 3 inches above the knee. I bought them one size too big so they can fit loosely and I cut the lining out. The shorts fit loosely and provide a lot of room. I also have a few string tank top I purchased on vacation in Jamaica. They are cut in a way that the upper back is exposed and the front just covers part of your chest. The nipples and the sides of your chest aren't covered. On a hot humid day the shorts and the tank top are my go to. They are light, airy, and keep me cool.
For things like going out to get the mail, taking trash out or walking the dog I'll put on one of my oversized t-shirts on which covers my body down my knees.
That aside if I'm going to work, mall, dinner or any formal places I'll dress appropriately.

[/quote] For me, ending 3 inches above the knee is WAAAYYY too long. I prefer mine to end 5 or so inches below my crotch, so I have more of my upper thighs exposed to the sun and wind. I have made cut off shorts out of old blue jeans by turning them inside out and cutting just below the tip of the front pockets. I don't really like them to be any longer than that. The less cloth there is the better, in my opinion.ReactReply - PA
PaulApr 2, 2017This depends what I am doing as it is from a pair of shorts only preferably on the shorter side, then with a pair of sandals as well when walking the dog along roads and past properties (across fields the shorts come off so only the pair of sandals on) then a tee-shirt if going in shops etc as some mad people think it is unhygienic to be bare chested. Shoes and socks and long trousers and shirt if there isn't an option for less, and underwear at the last resort mainly if I have to have my suit on with the trousers a bit tight to be commando. Shorts/trousers are one size bigger than needed to be more comfy and less chance people will know I am commando as well.

It baffles me how Americans have somehow decided that "shorts" should be baggy high water pants. It's ridiculous. I wear shorts, real shorts like real men used to wear in the 50's. I also wear a Speedo when I absolutely must wear a swim suit, and of course I get smirks and insults from other "Americans". Anyone from just about any other country assumes I'm one of them. Sad.

Barefoot5977May 11, 2017Like others have said, it depends, but the minimum required. If just out around the house when I expect a delivery or possible visitor its just a pair of boxers. If going to town or movie then light shirt and shorts. I keep sandles in the car if needed, but generally barefoot. Now if its cold ill look like an Eskimo!

Reuben TitusMay 11, 2017home made or modified mesh gym shorts, was the most common 70's style sportswear. Except mine are mesh so the air can pass through, and the light some, so if I want full protection from shadow visibility of "forbidden" parts, i have to wear a snug brief underneath. But when feeling risky and not too much risk of conservative company I have one that is split to the waistband on sides and shorter than the others, was wearing it for awhile today while loading the truck near the incoming county road. But anything is too much when I work alone out of sight of the road.
I have taken those mesh knee shorts that all the stores seem to have the last few years, they come in double layer construction since single layer is too thin and revealing for most people. I cut the liner out, and then cut the legs off short and make a V cut up both sides, then hem the edge. (Probably could get by without hemming it if ya don't have a sewing machine.) One had a heavy enough liner to make another pair out of, Put elastic band into the waist and did the same with it's legs. Turn those stupid long shorts into old style short gym shorts. The V side cut makes them looser fitting and less restricting to movement.

I also refuse to spend any money on shorts unless they are truly shorts like I used to wear in the 70s and 80s. I figure I won't buy the styles they put out today and hopefully others do the same etc eventually the 'fashion' industry will change the styles back. I'm surprised they don't anyway as old styles come back, plus they are cheaper to make.ReactReply - MA

I wear my jeans out first just below the crotch where my legs rub when I walk. The jeans then get cut off at the wear point. I should probably walk more because I am running out of cut offs. SteveMar 21, 2018March 21 , 2018 . From late Spring to early Autumn , when I'm at the beach before reaching the area where I am able to lay out naked , I wear shorts and a T-shirt , a baseball cap and sandals . Slip the T-shirt off as soon as I get to the beach . So I walk the shoreline in my shorts and sandals , wearing my cap on my head . Many people recognize me since that's how I dress all the time when I'm at this beach and I have to wear something . Steve
