Why do so many accept hundreds of `friends` and then never speak to any of them?

Question is why do so many here accept so many 'friends' and then never reply to any message or act like civil people?  Seems like nudism only works in the real world as most people would never act this way in person.

    They are called "Friend's Collectors.

This is what I have posted in my profile and yet they still send me friend's request. I just deny them :) and move on with life:

PLEASE HAVE A FULL PROFILE BEFORE YOU SEND ME A FRIENDS REQUEST. IF YOUR PROFILE IS COMPLETELY BLOCKED, DON'T SEND ME A FRIENDS REQUEST. IF YOU LIVE ACROSS THE WORLD, MORE LIKELY I WON'T GET TO MEET YOU, SO DON'T SEND ME A FRIEND REQUEST. IF YOU HAVE THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF FRIENDS, PLEASE DON'T SEND ME A FRIENDS REQUEST.
One guy here has over 3000 friends ... most of them are young women with pictures taken from the internet, I'm sure, so I'm guessing they are guys posing as women. It's sad really. Same ol' response ... "thanks for friending us." How does this guy keep up with all these friends ... I'm sure he doesn't. I'm certain ALL he wants is to see the "friends only" pictures.  He could probably just log onto any nudist tumblr and see those exact photos. :D
Most of these fake profiles have only one photo any way so you don't need to friend them to see the photo.

And: The more friends you have, the higher you go in the Popularity search result. And the more likely it is that when you sort your friends list by last login, you will find that someone you've clicked with (pun intended) is online at the moment, so that you can contemplate a real-time interaction with them.

The better question is, why are you so worried about what others are doing? If they want to "collect friends" as worded here, then that's their prerogative. All you need to do is deny their friend request (if you even got one) and keep it moving.

This is a nudist community. We're used to people judging us. Let's not do what they do and judge folks within our own community, especially on how they choose to use the site. Do what makes you happy, and stop judging others on what makes them happy.

There is an option to have your pohotos only viewable by friends...

So if you have lots of photos, you get lots of requests.

So strange how some people who say they like to live their lives as social naturists..... Want to see so many pictures of naked people.

We are definitely social nudist and enjoy interacting with our nudist friends. That's why we want to see the pics on TN - we want to see who we are talking to. Especially if the pics have captions on them and we can see where they have been or how they live their nude life. We like to take pics of each other and post them here fairly often. We are not ashamed to be nudist - we share nude pics on here like we do clothed pics on Facebook. Really no difference except the audience is different lol

I totally agree, I have friend-ed people who I thought had similar interests etc with a view to staying in touch and sharing experiences. As a frequent traveler I could even meet some of them in the flesh. Its exactly as you say almost like people want a swollen scorecard of "friends" just because.

I dont usually accept friend requests.  I used to and then found out that some were just friend collectors for whatever their reasons,  If I friended some in an area I was to be in and wanted to meet up even as couples for a hello,  it would fall through.  People would even use their pets and other thingsas a ploy  to friend you.  Then never connect with us again.  I cant tell you how many people want to friend and want to meet at a resort because they either been there before or want to have friends to be there with and either they dont show or wont tell where to meet them at or if you do come across them they have ignored us.  And of course you get the ones that want to meet up for the fact they want sex.  Sorry, isnt worth the frustration  anymore.  Too many fakes out there for us.  So we graciously deny.

It's not polite to ignore someone but at the same time one can't accept all incoming request. I recently added a guy after chatting few times and then he kept stalking my page and pinged me everytime I was online I had to meet him personally in public and explain him that I will not be able to pull down my pants and spend an evening with him

This is fairly common on my end, so i imagine that being female, it would be even more common on yours. I wouldnt take the time to meet in person just to tell them no. Fortunately there are enough good people on this site that make up for these bad eggs

I also don't understand... Most people who send me a request even don't read my profile. So I just hit 'delete'.
You also don't reply to messages....
I respond to all legitimate messages. I have never received any message from you. Furthermore, you claim this in your profile "I don't accept Not Certified nudists..." It makes absolutely no sense to make this kind of statement and then contact non certified members here. What would be the point. Something is very fishy about you......................

I agree sunlover, something is strange. But, I think it might be with your attitude. After seeing your post I tried to view your profile but found that it was a private profile, only viewable by friends. And, it instruct me to send a friend request. Why would I want to send you a friend request if I don't know anything about you? I don't care about your pictures, but I would like to know something about you. I would also send some messages back and forth before I would send a friend request. How can I ask to be your friend if I don't know anything about you?

I think people are not very much informative about their nudity...everyone has their own interests of this game.

I tried to communicate to many but as I m gay they were less interested to talk to me....

If you have ever met anyone in real life from any site you will hear the same stories over again as to how many people who claim to be genuine nudists on sites such as this all turn out to have never ever experienced any aspect of nudism in real life. If a person wants to get to know anyone then it is important to talk with them first. You might be surprised just how few here are real world genuine nudists. Genuine people share with those who are also genuine. Look around and see how many profiles are 'private' - especially female profiles and then perhaps ask why this is so. Either the female profiles are private because the few genuine women here are sick and tired of being bombarded by fakes or they are men posing as women. BTW, I recently downloaded Skype as per the suggestion of one of them members here who initially sent friendly messages and appeared to want to engage in normal conversation. After Skype was set up, I contacted the member and received only two or three words total after trying to engage in conversation. This kind of nonsense gets old fast and is just another reason why real nudists develop 'attitudes'.

Than why join here. I have the same issue. I think we're still in state of mind whether we should accept nudism or not.

When I get a friend request I accept it. Why not? Doesn't cost me a thing.
If they send a message I answer. Why not? Doesn't cost me a thing.
They just want to see my pictures? Why not? Doesn't cost me a thing.
    I posted them.

Sunlover you still didn't answer my question. I have met several people from this site but don't believe we ever discussed the question like you have. As far as making friends on TN. I don't really care, to tell you the truth, if they are truly a nudists or just a person trying to see what they can see. My profile, including pictures, is open. I don't have a lot of friends on here because I like to review the other persons profile, and pictures if available, before I accept, or request, a friendship. And, if I don't think we would be a friend clothed as well as nude, I don't accept or request. However, the friends I do have I enjoy talking to whenever we are able to get together. I don't know if we could be friends, because I can't see anything about you. I'm not allowed to view your profile, until you approve of me. Well, that goes both ways. Until I can see something about you I can't tell if I even would want to try to be your friend.
