  Absolutely. I would frequent nudist clubs more often, but i and my wife both have piercings and she has many tattoos. I am uncertain how it makes us less of a nudist, but then again after all of the definitions of what a real nudist is, I am getting to think that I am not really a nudist. I am simply human I enjoy being around others in their most pure state. Some of my best friends were ones I met at a week long nude vacation resort. I drank and hung out all week with them naked. Great times.

  Chris have 5 piercings, one Clithood and 4 labiapiercings.
  Its her personality, shes got the first on 16.
  We have no tatoos, its our choise

  I have finally decided to stop taking mine out. I too have a PA and my wife has clit piercings. Then again we do not think we all have to act like nuns and monks to be nudists. We enjoy being free to be how ever we feel appropriate at the time. If that excludes us from being a true nudist, then so be it. What I am is a human that enjoys being naked whenever possible, and it is even more enjoyable when around other like minded people. Sometimes that might be in a more sexually liberated environment. It is interesting how people that live a life that is in a significant minority to the rest of society still feel the need to criticize anyone that strays even just a little from how they think nudism should be. I think most nudists are much more open minded yet afraid for others to know, or they just follow the leader when others speak out critically to ones that dont toe the line. I say, loosen up, and live a little.

Just because you feel the need to promote vanilla nudism because that is the most effective way to get the rest of society to allow you to maintain the nudist venues that you have fought for, does not mean that you have the right to judge others. Even though you are successful in your efforts, does not justify you belittling and marginalizing others because they do not agree with your vanilla definition of nudism.

Vanilla nudism is not nudism, it is a part of nudism and one that restricts nudists in many ways. Travelites has done much for supprting nudism, but it certainly is not the only club to uphold the nudist profile. Let's take White Tail resort. It used to restrict piercings to t he point my wife and I couldn't attend. She has a nipple ring. Today, however, WTR is open to most piercings and actively promotes a Tattoo and Piercing Weedend at the park, a weekend that helps support the park by bringing in new revenue and new people each year. Learning to grow with the community is the best way to support and promote nudism. I recognize your commitment to educating lesgislators, but I have talked with my share of state, local and federal law makers, been involved in several law suits and also been arrested for the cause. I have appeared on Tabboo, news articles, and even been mentioned on The tonight Show and David Letterman. I think that my wife and I can claim the nudist title. Divisiveness is more damaging to the nudist world than any of the other petty arguments we have. Piercings, tattoos, smoking and other incidental issues shold take a back seat to what is really important, the fact that as a person, we should have the right to wear what we want, being respectful of others' rights to do the same.   I too have a genital piercing and never take it out, just because i am different from all other nudists why should i conform, there are some naturist retreats in the UK who do not allow any genital piercings
