Has the niece expressed any interest in nudism before? Being open about it with her sounds like a better option than to let her see your nudity "by accident", but if she's the curious-type in general, I don't see too much harm coming from you leaving the pictures where she can find them. These are just naked pictures, not the kind with sexual overtones, I'm assuming? Keep it clean!

What's rude about a human without artificial adornment?
This is where I disagree with "nudism". Why surprise the niece with a naked picture of anyone, much less her uncle? Why does foisting one's nudity on someone who is not expecting it seem like a good thing and not rude?
1. It's just a penis; every man has one 2. No one was every harmed by seeing a member of their own species without artificial adornment 3. The most shocking thing about human genitals is that anyone is shocked by them 4. Modesty in the Bible is about not being OVER dressed with jewelry, hair-dos, and fancy clothing 7. No one ever got into trouble in the Bible for being nude 8. The only people in the Bible who did get into trouble regarding nudity were those who were upset about, bothered by, sexually turned on by, or who made a big deal about nudity 9. I neither designed nor made my body; I have cause for neither pride or shame 10. If you see something that offends you, gouge your eye out; the offense is inside you, not external to you 11. Be that as it may,
In society, we have certain social constructs and agreements. There are expectations of how people will behave. In much of the world, people are generally clothed. In addition, nudity with a non-spouse of a different gender is generally discouraged. If there is a great age differential, even more so. If we force or sneak nudity in where it is not expected, we are forcing on people who don't expect it. As much as we want them to respect our wish to be naked, we should respect their wish not to be with us when naked.
we need to work diligently to correct those erroneous and harmful social constructs.

So, the niece stumbles upon a image of her uncle in his natural form. Was she harmed? No. Perhaps it will take a bit of coaching, but she should come to realized that she was, in fact, not harmed by seeing her uncle.

At another time, she sees him or someone else without artificial adornment. Again, eventually, she realizes that the incident didn't harm her.

And another time. And another time.

It may take a while, but she will come to the conclusion that she is not harmed by seeing natural human beings.

So, in this case, it would not be as if seeing you naked would be completely unexpected.
The niece knows I am a nudists and at there old house they use to let me skinny dip but it's been a few years
I must agree with Milwaukee on the pictures. Finding nude pictures of a relative on a phone to which you have been given access would not be the best choice, stick to paint swatches.

I have to agree with all your points. Id like to add reference to point 14. Rev 16:15 says to keep your clothes with you at all times. Meaning to have them ready to leave. It never states to be dressed or have clothes on.
I really liked all the quotes from others. Not that they are any final say so but that they also understand and support the lifestyle of no clothing. I believe society has brow beat almost everyone that there is something wrong with living nude. Sexualizes it and thus turned many a possible nudist away from what could make them happier than they are currently. Those people have caused great harm to those who listen and are turned away. They have caused them to be mislead and that is not a good place to be, the stumbling block.
I will say that there are those who live nude with altered motives and they cast shame on the ones with genuine hearts towards being nude. They too become stumbling blocks to others. Let me be clear, Im not judging anyone, Im nearly stating facts as I know them. Im not trying to be the devils advocate here. If you disagree, thats your prerogative.

I feel like your niece might be hoping to see some nude photos if she's been cruising through the phone's photo collection without asking first, but that's a guess. Since she's knowledgeable of your nudist tendencies in the past, it seems logical she's got a curiosity about the subject and hoping to find out if you're sharing some of your baring habits on the phone.

Do you think she might've seen you skinny-dipping back during your visits to her home in the past? Too bad she didn't simply come join you in the pool or hot tub back then, but maybe that was more to respect your privacy. I'm glad it was your wife who suggested this idea since I would guess she knows her niece better than you and whether she's ready to see her uncle in the buff. This could begin a healthy new chapter in her life if your pictures help her get to a better understanding of why you crave no clothes. "My uncle is crazy! He always wants to be naked," changes into, "Oh now I see - this is why he always wants to be naked." It also may inspire your wife to be more open about nudism if her niece starts revealing herself around your home. I'm starting to get on the bandwagon now!

If someone were working out in the field, they were, in fact, nude.
Id like to add reference to point 14. Rev 16:15 says to keep your clothes with you at all times. Meaning to have them ready to leave. It never states to be dressed or have clothes on.
There was no shame in simple nudity and everyone was nude when working out in the field, fishing, or doing anything else that might have soiled their one and only garment. In other situations, nudity was a sign of poverty. So, if you want to save yourself the shame of being thought poor, keep your clothing near by because you're not going to have time to go back to the house and get it.
Up date my niece thought it was funny she told us we should get a room lol
That's cool! And it's good for her to see older folks still being silly and sexy by sharing nude pictures. Doing things like that keeps us younger, I think. Did you get to discuss it with her more than the one comment she made about taking care of your sexy needs? What sort of picture or pictures did you end up leaving on the phone for her to see? Did she say anything about her thoughts about you being able to be nude around her when she's visiting your home, or would your not-so-into-nudism woman want you to go that far? It seems like a logical progression since the niece didn't freak out upon seeing you bare. Regardless, congratulations on the successful unveiling!

Biblical times, I assume you mean two to three thousand years ago. People then had no difficulty in making clothes or maintaining them. In fact modern people are far more useless at maintaining clothes than back then.

    Hi JohnE44,
I think in other situations people have suggested leaving nude vacation pictures laying out as a conversation starter. If the 48 year old (which may have seen him skinny dipping in the past) is snooping through someones phone. Then so be it.
After that was she OK with you being nude also? Many people have more comfort with same gender nudity than mixed.
Yes. She did say she was ok with me staying nude as well. The only problem was: I was not comfortable hanging out naked around my dressed MIL like my wife was. She did catch me nude once, as my wife let her inside the house while I was showering. When I came out into the living room naked I saw her sitting on the living room couch; and she immediately exclaimed: "Woohoo!"; which made me feel self-conscious. She didn't mean anything by it but I found it so off-putting that I turned around and grabbed a pair of shorts. I was not the experienced social nudist I am today; and rather than sit with her and discuss nudist etiquette, I chose to not be naked around her. I explained to my wife that the best way to normalize nudity between us would be if her Mom got naked too when she came over. But in spite of multiple invitations to disrobe or join us at the resort, she respectfully declined. The "story" doesn't end there; as it had multiple episodes before the "grand finale." But for the sake of brevity I'll get straight to the conclusion. I had a conversation with my wife after we'd relocated, which surprised me. It turned out that my MIL was not at all opposed to being naked with us, but she was also concerned about how I would react to her nudity. So she was waiting for me to show comfort being naked around her before considering making the "leap." So basically, because I never sat down with her and discussed it, nothing ever happened. The moral of the story is: communication. Obviously, I don't know how a conversation about us being naked around each other would have turned out. But at least we could have talked about it.

I knew him well enough to know that he didn't care. When a new neighbor moved in, I put a wind screen on top of the fence. When I took it down in the fall, he asked me about it. I said that I prefer to swim and sun nude, He said that it wouldn't bother him if he he saw it over the fence. I won't have to get another wind screen next summer,
