  You should do it! I had an 8g PA and I really liked it - though, depending on the jewelry it may be dificult to have intercourse - that was the primary reason that I took mine out. It also makes oral sex a bit dodgy depending on your endowment and the person's experience. My bf at the time was always complaining about it hitting his teeth.
  But as a piercing, and for masturbation it's great!
  I just put my septum back in yesterday!! it's only a 14 g right now, but I hope to take it to an 8 to match my lip ring.
  Also, I recently stretched my ears to 3/4"! Hopefully 1" before too long! :)
