  A NAKED and proud Noosa couple, who have been frequenting Alexandria Bay for the past 20 years, have called for clear signage to resolve the A-Bay nudity debate once and for all.  James and Kim Breeze wrote to Noosa Today expressing their love for A-Bay and they have described the beach as one of the worlds best.  But the couple have expressed concerns with visitors to A-Bay who feel nudity has no place on the beach.  We have visited many free beaches around Australia and the world and their signage is simple and succinct, Mrs Breeze wrote.  There are thousands of beautiful beaches in Queensland for regular beachgoers to choose from surely one small strip of beach is not too much to ask for those who enjoy the freedom of a free beach.  The couple have suggested the use of warning signs which include the following information: Unclad bathing beyond this point or You may encounter unclad bather on this beach.  The couple said A-Bay was already a recognised nudist beach according to travel websites, such as Tripadvisor, which recommends the beach to nude sunbathers.  Because A-Bay is known throughout the world as an unofficial nude beach it attracts visitors not just from Australia but all over the world, she said.  The tourism benefits alone should be enough to allow this beach to be made clothing optional.

  Are you a Queensland resident and have you signed the recently established formal parliamentary petition.

  This is the time when naturists need to support the principle and set aside their own politics. For me the likes of abay is really not an issue of itself as it would just line the pockets of my dermatologist. Rather this is about the principle of freedom of expression in what should be a liberal society. Far more oppressive societies than Australia have a far more liberal clothing optimal culture. How can it be that supposedly genuine naturists have not yet thrown their support behind this petition. Stop thinking about wiifm (what's in it for me) and show clearly the size of the naturist culture in Queensland
