Chair making

I cut an ash tree down a couple of days ago and immediately started to make a chair from the split sections. Ash is an awesome wood to work. It splits great and turns wonderfully on the pole lathe. The free moisture in the wood is much less than other species so chairs can be made right after felling with some planning .
