Chicago Sweatlodge on Monday March 20

Planning on hanging at Chicago Sweatlodge likely starting around 7 PM on March 20, a Monday night. I plan to wear a purple or blue broccoli rubber band on my wrist and that's it. Haven't been in over ten years. Let me know if you're interested or just show up. I'll keep an eye out for other colored rubber bands.

    I guess my question is more about how much time do you spend nude? Is it only in the cold pool or you nude the entire time?

    An all day pass costs $35. I'm not aware of any coupons or groupons for this place.
    Nudity. I called and full nudity is allowed and a nonissue. If I remember correctly, you get a sheet you can wrap around you or sit on in the sauna, for protection from the heat that's close to 200F. Don't wear any metal jewelry. When I was there pre Covid, the majority of men (60-70%) were wrapped most of the time. I refuse to wrap up and didn't sense any naked shaming or cruising vibe. It was largely ethnic, half Eastern European and half Latino, all ages adults. Being Scandinavian myself, it's the closest to a European banya/sauna I've found in the US. The biggest difference with your local gym is that the hot is really hot and the cool is really cold. That affirms life. A shower from the inside out, and life is good.
