The local council stopped recognising Fairlight as an official nude beach some years back, they removed the wooden steps at the same time. There are alternative steps in place though, maintained over the years by various regular users. It had been England's first official nude beach. It is still used by many nudists, as well as walkers and other textiles, I can't see any attempts to stop it being used by nudists happening, so enjoy it, naked of course, its beautiful, wild, natural and perfect for nudism. Its possible to be nude along a stretch of coast of more than 3 miles, you can freely wander there with no need to worry about covering up or carrying anything, that's very rare in SE England.
