gabareNov 22, 2009cool group, first car was a 69 pontiac firebird, than a 69 pontiac gto wow wish i still had them. nowdays i have a 63 oldsmobile f85 and a 66 dodge a100 (bugeye van) not a musclecar but from the cool musclecar era. old cars and musclecars are high dollar now days and i wish i would have bought a few more back in to day and stored them.

As you said Gabare, the muscle cars business with cars from the 60's and 70's is a very high $ business. Just have to look at the Barrett Jackson auctions to see what a good investement some cars might have be. Retauration is also a big business in the US. So much fun to see those old muscle cars more shinny than they ever were in any showroom 3 decades ago!
The Dodge A100 is a quite rare vehicule on the market (and on the road!) isn't it? I don't remember seeing to much of those aroud here in any case!ReactReply - GAgabareNov 23, 2009
a100 and early vans can be found but you may need to look hard, alot like all old vehicles have been crushed and some owners think they own a treasure $$$$. mind need restore but its mainly cosmetic as it has one of those chrysler slant 6 that will probably be running 50 years from now.

The mustangs, camaros, challengers, corvettes, AMX, roadrunners, NovaSS, GTO (and a few others) of the 60's and 70's are the real true musclecars. As for me, The Mustang Mach 1 1970 (red!) will always have a little something for me that makes me shake inside. Maybe we have all a special dream car in our mind from that era because they remind us of something special. The new mustangs, camaros and challengers are real fun cars to drive and they have that retro feeling about them that is great. But the feeling of having a drive in one of the older musclecars is like no other. My brother-in-law had a 64 corvette a few years ago, what a feeling it was to take a drive in that car! Wowow!!!

It seem to me that cars were simplier in those days. Now there's so much electronics and gadgets that buiilders tend to forget what the fun of driving a muscle car is (was) all about.

I don't own any, but these are my favorites: 1967 Pontiac Firebird 1970 Oldmobile Cutlass 1972 Chevrolet Camaro The cars I hope to own one day are: 1972 Citroen SM 1973 VW SP2 (Brazil) What I own at the moment is a 1984 VW Puma GTI. It is nothing technologically interesting, but it does turn heads and confuse minds. Other Pumas are in the US, but there are only 5 of this particular make, model and year known to exist in the US and mine is the only one registered. It is a work in progress. Practically speaking, I really should have gotten rid of it by now, but I'm way too attached to it.

RoosterockMar 11, 2011I own a 70 Ford Ranchero 351 Cleveland engine. And a 2011 Hyundia Geneus Coupe 3.8. Motor Trend magazine did an article on the coupe, mustage, camero, chalenget. They were all v6 and the Hyundia beat everyone upto a 100 mph and in the quarter mile. They also make a Geneus but it is just the car not a coupe and you can get a v8 (429 hp). Hope they put it in the coupe next year also. It is one fun are to drive and corners great.

JoelApr 26, 2021Always thought the 1968 Camaro was the best looking Camaro, unfortunately I have never owned one, I do have a 2020 Camaro though. Bought it for a daily driver so its a V6, not really considered a muscle car but a lot of fun to drive.

socaln8ivApr 27, 2021I have a 68 Camaro convertible and a 66 Mustang convertible. Both have the stock engines 327 & 289. I think I enjoy driving the Mustang more as it is a 4 speed versus an automatic
