Any tips for a first timer? Looking to go for the day before I bring out the tent or trailer.

    If coming for the weekend, come Friday at latest and stay until Monday. Saturdays are the most popular, so you'll get a good mix of crowds & activity. If coming for a whole week or more, then it doesn't matter when you arrive (just on schedule, staff will be on the lookout for you).
    Bring a towel.
    Enjoy the outdoor shower at dawn... just not when I shower :)
    If you want to play, bring all accessories you may need.
    And bug spray - it's been raining for many days so they will be out once the rain stops.
    Liquids, gotta stay hydrated.
