Does anyone know if this is mainly men, or is there a good mix? I know my other half would find it easier as it'll be one of her first times...

    Usually mostly men with one or two women. Today there was one woman with her boyfriend but they didn't stay long. But it's always very relaxed and friendly; lots of people who seem to chat in the shallow end without doing much swimming and others who put in the lengths.
