I learned about the gorge years ago but it took me a while to find the time to get there. I managed to go late one summer a few years ago and it was really nice! Kind of tricky to find but a nice relaxing nude hike!

I talking about Chautauqua Gorge in western New York. It's a clothing optional state park. I've gone there once and it was great! No cost to get in, just a casual hike down this beautiful Gorge. People playing in the water and sunning nude on the rocks. I can't wait to go back!

BobFeb 16, 2024I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the local landowner has been harassing visitors to the gorge and, with the backing of the Town of Westfield, has managed to shut down access to the gorge from the Taylor Rd parking lot. There is a trail in from the other side, but I've never came in that way. It's the end of over 100 years of nude use of the gorge, and I'm still in shock about it--my outdoor profile pics are form there.
