Been working on getting a healthier kitchen for cooking by replacing my pots with ceramic coated pots instead of Teflon and plastic utensils with silicone. Has anyone else done the same or plan to?

Congratulations on your transition away from the use of those forever chemical-built devices that have been used in preparing food for so many years now. My only worry is that it's taken you this long to do it ~ so how much teflon you, your family and guests have already ingested. But always better late than never.

Me, I grew up with a Tupperware mom! I think we finally got her to toss out her last scratched up, teflon-coated frying pan a couple of years ago.

Ceramic coating seems to have won over a large audience in the last few years. Our home relies on the tested/tried/true 18/10 stainless steel and cast iron sort of cookware - a bit more work to maintain, that's for sure. My only concern is that without any heirs, who gets them when we're gone?

Part of a bigger transition away from plastics and other household products that shed microplastics and chemicals. To more eco friendly healthy items.

I gave up the plastics and did glass some time ago; works better in the dishwasher for me. Appreciated the Tupperware comment - I was there too once upon a time. Curious did you find something you like? I have a set I want to replace as well. Someone mentioned stainless steel, which is one thing I have been considering. Certainly good for even and heat control, but I always end up with some challenges with it sticking. ;-) I also am thinking about glass lids (something I don't have now). I'd be interested with your impressions with ceramic if you went that way.
