I say that I was a naturist and I am a nudist the reason is: -

Hi everyone, I say that I used to be a naturist because I was in clothes

during the day and naked at night, because of work. Now I am naked virtually

all the time - I call myself a nudist. When Gilly and I went to the BDOC club (Bournemouth

and District Outdoor Club) I went into the club house in the evening naked. OH

YOU Can’t do THAT said a troubled worker. You have to be dressed in the evening

and I explained I worked all day in clothes and was naked in the evening - so I

was not going to pay to go to a naturist club and be dressed. In the end I told

him to call the police and tell them that there was a naked man in the BDOC

naturist club house, they did not and I was the only one naked in the club

house every evening. Gilly was really really proud of the way I behaved. I am

real naked person, and that is the way I am - so is it naturist or nudist? All

    I am most definitely a naturist. I have always sought out remote wilderness places to camp, and camped nude even before I was 'officially introduced' to naturism or nudism.  It just seemed to me that the right way to experience nature was nude.

    We started this discussion group because we are aware of the different uses of the two tags. We are also aware of the true definition of Nudism and naturism but these have become blurred over time.
    We don't think that naturists are naked less or are naked in different places. Generally the simplest distinction we have found is in the social versus solitary. What we mean is that a nudist is into the social nude experience and would favour the club environment and enjoy the social interaction whereas a Naturist would favour the being naked in nature in places that are not reserved for naked people. But of course these are stereotypes and are not fixed for all. Leah and I have spent many weekends in clubs but we would enjoy most of all just being in the bush and stripping off. We live naked 24/7 here. Also we have noted that there are traditions within different nudist clubs around europe. At Valatta in Croatia it is FKK but in the evening they all dress for dinner. In Euronat in France it was not so FKK but it was a mixed nude/dressed scene in the village of an evening.
    As I say this is a discussion group and I would like to see more people discussing this from all walks of nakedness
