Being Catholic and nudists it is obvious the we think for ourselves and do not always follow the traditional lines of thought. In the Catholic Church we have doctrine and dogma, which are not necessarily the same, plus a lot of experts who tell us what we are to believe. When it comes to social nudism we have the writings of St. Pope John Paul II to rely upon to show that, when properly enjoyed, it is not a sinful activity and we are free to enjoy it. What other examples do you have of some of the other bone headed teachings you've heard about in the past? Can you say why they were in error?Would like to hear them and discuss them.

Let me start by acknowledging that I'm not the most disciplined nor faithful Catholic anymore. I can't say that I recall any specific teachings or lessons regarding nudity or being naked, but like a lot of stuff I got in serving 8 years of Catholic school and upteen years of church services and picking up on what is good, bad, and sinful, it was sort of subliminally and indirectly instilled. Breaking free from it took some time.
