Is this Resort still open?

  Yes it is and is still just as nice as ever. The people are great and the owners are the same nice people

  I used to live in the area and would visit Bennie and Karole at Native Woods frequently. Since I have relocated, my visits aren't so often but was there earlier this year on a Sunday. Joined the others there for a great meal by the Naked Chef and relaxed out on the pool deck. I haven't heard how much damage was done from Irma as they had some serious damage last year from Hurricane Matthew with a number of trees coming down, one on one of their cabins.
  Open all year and everyone is always welcome. Just a short drive off I-95.

  I will be going through the Darien area in a couple of weeks and will try to check in and see. I know they suffered a lot of downed trees from the hurricanes in 2017, but hadn't heard they had closed. Bennie not getting any younger but hope neither he nor Karole have had any health issues.

  Yes, Native Woods is alive and well. I spoke to Bennie the other week and it seems that their website got hacked so he had to shut it down. He is working on getting it back up, but the facility is open for business and they are looking forward to the coming warm weather.

  I have called Native Woods and talked with the owner. They are closed due to the virus but hope to be open in a couple weeks.
