For any of you, does bodybuilding make you enjoy being nude even more. I know that's the case for me. And yet, some people say you can't be both a bodybuilder and a nudist.

Tom DMay 1, 2025I don't see why not. Bodybuilders wear next to nothing when they compete. Prior to the late1980's, it was not unusual for bodybuilders to train nude in male only locations.

SteveMay 1, 2025If you work hard to build your body and are happy to share your results with others, then why not nude?

VasantOriginal PosterMay 2, 2025Minimalist75, I didn't know bodybuilders used to train nude in male-only locations. Also, I don't know anybody who thinks you can't both a bodybuilder and a nudist. I just know that one of the tenets of nudism is body positivity. A lot of people think that if you're a nudist, you should believe all bodies are beautiful and that you don't think that if you're trying to change the way your body looks. I've never met anyone like that luckily. I just feel like that's the attitude some people would have towards nudism.

VasantOriginal PosterMay 2, 2025I like that viewpoint, Steve.

I saw it a few times in the 70's and 80's and heard and read about it more often.ReactReply - TR
traildocMay 2, 2025I have a small home gym and workout in the nude all the time. Im certainly not on par with a professional body builder but I dont see why you couldnt be both if you enjoy it.

They went on and on about how the weight/exercise room is NOT clothing optional -- the rest of the club was clothing optional. I didn't figure out why they were making such a big deal of it until about 20 years later. Then, suddenly, Oh, the entire place used to be clothing optional. Duh! I'm guessing the switch to having the weight/exercise room be clothing required was fairly recent when I joined.ReactReply - TD

ZekeMay 3, 2025I've enjoyed doing nude run and I prefer to run nude when I can. I've worked out nude at a few nudist resorts, wish they put more effort to upkept the equipment.

rdrunningMay 3, 2025I have weights and a benches in a corner of my basement and usually used them naked, why not? When staying at nude resorts, I walk or run the grounds naked. It;s a far more liberating way to go, so why not?

In general I must say: Bodybuilding and Nudism is a great combination. So, Bodybuilder have to be Nudists. They have the understanding of male Body every Nudist should have.ReactReply

Gym, athletic, swimming, any kind of physical education. All nude, for everyone, no exception.ReactReply

It is how our bodies evolved and are therefore adapted.ReactReply
