Meting in person.

How do you feel about meeting in person? What do you think you should do in order to make sure you can safely meet someone? I am interested in meeting people to share real life experiences, but how do I know I can trust them? I would like to hear your ideas, thoughts, feelings, suggestions, and experiences.
