But I found a video - with truenudists on vimeo that says it's better to cover up.
Anyone has experience with this?
We are looking at going there potentially this Saturday.

I have always hiked the trail nude. I used to carry shorts in case I needed to cover up. For the past 10 years I don't even worry about it anymore. No one seems to be bothered by it.

dennisJul 12, 2021A late answer but... that's the way I hike to and from as well as many others from our groups who go. Others saw me on the way in. I talked to them in one of he pools.. They then decided to hike out nude as well. Slower me started out before them and they passed me about a third out. They thank me for helping them chose after they saw me come in.

Jim TigheApr 6, 2022It's been a long time since I last visited Deep Creek and Bowen Ranch. I understand there's a new campground next to, or in the same place as Bowen Ranch (not sure how that all lies). For a few years, I visited often, I would usually get naked upon arrival at Bowen Ranch and stay naked for as many days and nights as I was able to be there, at the ranch, on the trails, and at the springs. I usually carried a lightweight pair of shorts in my pack, "just in case", but I never once needed them. A few times, I left the ranch with nothing at all, except water, and maybe a camera.
