Vermont legislature, possibly going to vote make it illegal to be nude in public, something to watch out for could affect future free hikes!

It strikes me that, despite the laws, it will stil be socially acceptable to freehike in Vermont.

    That would be unfortunate!

Hey everyone. I am aware of the proposed bill, it is H.683, and I am keeping an eye on it. It was introduced 0n 1/14 and sent to the Judiciary Committee. There has been no movement on the bill in the last 2 1/2 months, so my instinct tells me I don't think there is enough interest in the bill and most likely will die in committee as a lot of bills due. I have been in touch with others who are involved with the AANR (American Association for Nude Recreation) as well as NACS (Naturist Action Committee) and their consensus is the same. I am signed up for email alerts should the bill advance and will let the group know if that happens. Happy Hiking!
