reading the books now

I've watched the first 7 seasons and just started reading the 1st book. I bought all of them on Amazon and have them on my Kindle. Some things jump out at me as differences between the television series and the book. The detail is of course much greater for the books. According to the display, it will take about 5 days of total reading 24/7 to read the first volume. I'm enjoying the experience. The description of the "mountain" as being between 7 and 8 feet tall would make casting a real challenge.
