How has it been coming in and out on Saturdays this summer? I know the last time I came years back; it took at least a half hour to leave the weekend I was there. I hope the supposedly new bridge solved those problems.

Hey there. My advice to avoiding growing old sitting in traffic is to arrive at the Gateway National Park entrance anytime before 7 AM. As anyone whose visited the Jersey Shore, it's always best to arrive as early as possible. PLUS, if you arrive before 7 AM, you avoid paying the $20.00 parking fee. My longtime friend & I have been using this method for so long I can't remember the last time we paid. As for leaving Gunny Beach, we usually leave around 3 PM and fly through while others are waiting in line to enter the park. I hope this helps.

They were checking the parking lots for tags being displayed. I got a warning because I had forgotten and put mine in the glove box.ReactReply - TD

Hey,
Thanks for answering. I also wanted to know that if the weather is nice enough, is this something you would recommend even before June 21st? The reason I ask is because I see the parking fees start as early as Memorial Day Weekend. Idk if you go that early in the season. Thanks again.ReactReply - TD
Tom DApr 17, 2024Weather before Memorial Day is hit and miss, mostly miss.
Quite often when I have gone, even if it is very warm inland, there is a cool breeze off the ocean at the beach and you have your choice of being comfortably nude or naked, can't be both at the same time.ReactReply - TD
