One technique I use a lot is taking a short video and then pulling images from the video. My phone has an option to where I can pull images from a video. I open the video press pause and then scroll through the video slowly until I find a shot I like. Once I find that shot I press the button and it pulls that image out.

What about editing the videos. I have had trouble in the past with editing out parts of the video. You know not every video is perfectly framed or correct lighting but theres a special momentI-phone here

When it comes to discarding imperfect material from a video you should remember that in the days of celluloid the rule of thumb in Hollywood was that 90% of the footage taken ended up on the cutting room floor.
