I will be solo traveling in the Portland area for the day and evening of July 24th coming from eastern Oregon. I am planning to spend the daytime at Rooster Rock and get a hotel in the evening. I figure it will be a pretty quiet day considering its a Monday. Any recommendations on accessing the location (parking, trails, etc) or best place to set up my umbrella to hang for the day? Also open to other suggestions on evening activities.

Nkdman1Jul 15, 2023Highly recommend crossing the water to the island at rooster rock. It's not likely to be more than a foot deep and temperature good. Unfortunately Mon is tough for me. Too bad you won't be here for a weekend. V
