Mar 29, 2016The idea of going out walking, finding a water hole and just going for it has always appealed. Problem is there are very few private places in the UK to enjoy a nice skinny dip. Has anyone any experience of real wild swimming?

Naked guy next door!Mar 30, 2016I would swim naked at night sometimes as I was growing up since I lived near a small lake, but it was not a wilderness area. When I was in high school a friend and I took frequent hikes in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and one very hot day when we reached our destination which was a waterfall with a large deep pool of water that collected before spilling down over more rocks, we stripped naked and went for a swim. We did that a couple more times over that summer and in later years I went there by myself and skinnydipped. Now I go to a few different mountain lakes in Vermont and swim, but I am often not alone as they have become popular with naturists and people just looking for places to swim naked.ReactReply - FLflyingpig81Original PosterMay 17, 2016
We are going out to a local waterfall that has a plunge pool. Hoping to have a crack at a bit of wild swimming. It has been mentioned by several mainstream sites as one of the best places in the uk to go skinny dipping. Fingers crossed eh? I will write back with my findings and fingers crossed for some pics.
