Every summer we see it: men jogging shirtless through the park, construction workers working topless in the heat, and even young guys at school gym classes outside without a shirt. No one bats an eye. Its considered completely normal. Its hot, people say. They need to cool down.
So why is it still controversial when a woman wants the exact same freedom?
If a man can run topless without being harassed, a woman should be able to do the same. If a male student can take his shirt off during outdoor PE, a female student should have that same right. If male workers can work topless, women should be free to be topless at work also.
I believe women should have the same freedom men already enjoy: to exist comfortably in their bodies during hot weather, sports, or during work. Even in an office.

FabienneJun 10, 2026Hi, as you live in the Netherlands, I guess legally you are free to go topless anyway. It's more a matter of social norms and common use. Maybe to start you can make use of venues where it's not uncommon for females going topless, such as certain music festivals, street parades or just Netherlands' wonderful beaches.
