Woodcarving

I started wood carving many years ago, always carving a nude. I started a new one the other day. The hardest bit is roughing out the block of wood (in this case a log). After 3 days it is just starting to look like the naked lady which will eventually emerge. I've learnt how important it is to keep aware of the intended final target - and to leave a bit of extra wood to allow for mistakes.
