Between the municipal areas of the localities of Madrid of St Martin of Valdeiglesias and Pelayos of the Dam the reservoir of San Juan spreads, investor, one of the few ones of the Community of Madrid in the one that is allowed the bath, where it is possible to practise nautical sports and the aquatic activities to engine, and that possesses in total approximately 14 kilometres of beach.
Nailed between the pinegroves that raise to the sky from the first spurs of Gredos's saw, the marsh of San Juan is a very crowded place not only for tourists, but also for trippers who move to the zone in search of tranquility and pure air, an added value to the sports slope and of leisure that possesses the zone.
So much those who live in Madrid as those tourists who visit the capital and wish a field day and I bathe at the same time, they will enjoy the pretty thing if they decide to travel up to the reservoir of San Juan, an excursion for the one that will be a good idea to choose for a rent of cars in Madrid in case of not having own vehicle, since this way we will be able to move freely for the places of Gredos's saw and to follow the course of the river Alberche. From the capital, the road M-501 will take rights to us up to Pelayos's localities of the Dam and Valdeiglesias's St Martin.
The places preferred by the visitors are San Esteban's Hill, placed in
the right margen of the marsh, and the Boat of the Helmet, in the left
shore, whereas the best areas for the playtime are the Virgin of the New
one and The Wall. To eat, we can take a picnic or sandwiches. Also it
is possible to do it in some stall of the zone, or in the bordering
populations.
Not very far he is I tremble, where the Royal Glen happens and where we can visit the famous Bulls of Cooking, the Monastery of the Jerónimos, the bridges of Valsordo and Holy Yusta, joined on the river Alberche, the Church of Our Lady of the Asuncion, with tower of the S. The XVth, the baroque hermitage of San Antonio or the Ovens of the vats.
If we want to happen in the zone the complete weekend, a good option of housing not to lose the contact with the nature during the night either would be a plot rents in the camping The red squirrel, that, beside offering to stay in a shop of campaign, possesses rent of bungalows and Móvil-Home, well endowed and to an attainable enough price.
Entre los términos municipales de las localidades madrileñas de San
MartÃn de Valdeiglesias y Pelayos de la Presa se extiende, imponente, el
embalse de San Juan, uno de los pocos de la Comunidad de Madrid en el
que está permitido el baño,donde es posible practicar deportes náuticos y las actividades acuáticas a motor, y que cuenta en total con unos 14 kilómetros de playa.
Enclavado entre los pinares que se alzan al cielo desde las primeras
estribaciones de la sierra de Gredos, el pantano de San Juanes un lugar muy concurrido no sólo por turistas, sino también por excursionistas
que se desplazan a la zona en busca de tranquilidad y aire puro, un
valor añadido a la vertiente deportiva y de ocio que posee la zona.Tanto quienes vivan en Madrid como aquellos turistas que visiten la
capital y deseen un dÃa de campo y baño al mismo tiempo, disfrutarán de
lo lindo si se deciden a viajar hasta el embalse de San Juan, una
excursión para la que será buena idea optar por unalquiler de coches en Madriden caso de no tener vehÃculo propio, pues asà podremos desplazarnos librementepor los parajes de la sierra de Gredos y seguir el curso del rÃo Alberche.
Desde la capital, la carretera M-501 nos llevará derechos hasta las
localidades de Pelayos de la Presa y San MartÃn de Valdeiglesias.
Los lugares preferidos por los visitantes sonel Cerro de San Esteban, situado en la margen derecha del pantano,
y la Lancha del Yelmo, en la orilla izquierda, mientras que las mejores
áreas para el recreo son la Virgen de la Nueva y El Muro. Para comer,
podemos llevar un picnic o bocadillos. También es posible hacerlo en
algún chiringuito de la zona, o en las poblaciones aledañas.
No muy lejos se encuentra el Tiemblo, por donde pasala Cañada Real y donde podemos visitar los famosos Toros de Guisando,
el Monasterio de los Jerónimos, los puentes de Valsordo y Santa Yusta,
unidos sobre el rÃo Alberche, la Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la
Asunción, con torre del S. XV, la ermita barroca de San Antonio o los
Hornos de las tinajas.
Si queremos pasar en la zona el fin de semana completo, una buenaopción de alojamiento para no perder el contacto con la naturaleza
tampoco durante la noche serÃa alquilar una parcela en el camping La
ardilla roja, que, además de ofrecernos pernoctar en una tienda de
campaña, cuenta con alquiler de bungalows y Móvil-Home, bien dotados y a
un precio bastante asequible.
