Anyone had a situation where a housemate or partner followed your example and spending more time nude because you were without you overtly trying to convince them to do so?

The closest Ive come to this is not the situation you describe. I was at a place where nudity was permitted. I was nude. I was exploring around. I could see a man up ahead who was wearing shorts. When he saw me and noticed that I was nude, he immediately pulled his shorts off. Seems like he just needed to know that it really was ok.

Later when I took her to show her where I lived she brought up the subject again and asked me to prove it, so I did. I even went to so far as to show her my account here on TN. Not long after our first date she moved in with me. She had been living with some friends(married couple), so she only had to bring her personal belongings, no furniture or anything. I was naked in the house almost all the time and told her it would be fine with me if she too wanted to go nude with me. She had never considered life as a nudist, but quickly came to enjoy it. Later when the weather warmed up I took her to a C/O resort where we stayed 5 days completely nude. She Really Loved that. After that experience she told me I had created a "Monster", with her new found love of being nude. I don't think I "created" a monster, merely Unleashed it.

Yes, I went with a lady friend up in the mountains of So. California,I told her it was a nice river with some good swimming holes and sandy beaches.She already knew I was a nudist but wasn't herself. I told her I always went skinny-dipping there.When we got there ,there was several cars in the parking lot, she changed into her swimsuit and we hiked to the river.when we got there a couple were swimming in the river naked, we put our stuff down and I took off my shorts and went skinny-dipping. to my surprise she did too. we spent all day there and had a great time. She is a avid nudist now and goes to several nude beaches and resorts in Calif.

My wife I have known for a long while sets the pace be it nudist friends when the clothes come off at home. It's just the way it is. On rare occasions when she greets our guest naked they are dropping their clothes immediately if she does not they seem to wait until she does undress. I speak of long time nudist couple friends we have spent years together. If there is such thing as a shy nudist that is my girl.
A year ago or so a very close female friend of mine for many many years happened to come over for a wine night and to hot tub. A few couples from our couple club were over and after a period of time my wife and I went ad undressed. I will describe my friend, tall slender blond mouth dropping blond beauty and once again very textile. No I have never had if anyone wanders if I have had any thoughts beyond our friendship as we helped each other through some hardships.
I remember her big blue eyes wider than I have ever seen when she looked at me as I sat back next to her and she shockingly said Rock you are naked! My wife was right behind me and she whispered in my ear my wife was naked! I whispered back "I know, you knew we are nudist." By then everyone was getting unclothed which shocked her further but she trusted me and my wife. How would a single girl know she wasn't in a safe if you think about it in that light.
She would not leave my side and before long she was naked in the hot tub with us all. I think it was a one off ex[experience to be honest which is not the first time I have seen that type pf thing that visit our club. Perhaps a bucket list thing?

My wife has a better anecdote about "contagious nudity" than I do.
It was while she was on a "girl's trip" with two of her best friends, a few years back. My wife was still in her "newbie" stage of social nudism; but had grown comfortable with casual nudity. When one of her friends took note that my wife did not "rush to cover up" after showering in the evening, she started coming out of the bathroom naked after showering. At that point it really started getting contagious, as both ladies started staying nude for longer periods of time. Until they just opted to stay naked for the rest of the evening, drinking wine and relaxing after a long day exploring the countryside; for much of the two weeks they were gone.
This story came to mind as they third friend was just here at my home a couple of hours ago, mentioning and joking about the fact that she had spent a good portion of that vacation being around the "two naked ladies." She herself did not join as much. I guess nudity is not as contagious for everyone!

[/quote] I know we've discussed this quite a bit in the "Confident nudity" group; but whereas men usually need little motivation to get naked around other people, women (in general) are more likely to find motivation in observing other women who are confident in their nudity. It's the freedom of expression and confidence they witness that becomes "contagious", so to speak, to them. That's why there are so many stories of shy women/newbies encountering women who are confident in their nudity; and the next thing you know: they're naked too - even if there was no preliminary indication that they would agree to being socially nude. Hence the importance of nudist women openly demonstrating confidence. It gets passed on.

Back on 2017 a friend and I went to a music Festival in Maryland that was clothing optional. There were a few other naturists there as well. We all went clothes free most of the time, at the shows yoga and walking around the festival grounds. In our camping area there were other folks who noticed my friend and I and commented that they were inspired to go clothes free as well and they did. Though we were a minority in general areas, most everyone was clothes free in the pool and since it was a hot weekend the pool was usually packed.

After roommate and I move out of the military barracks into an apt out in town one day I walked across bare ass naked and as he glanced, he asked "is this something new"? To which I replied, get used to it and kept about whatever that heck I was doing. after a few weeks of it he got used to walking in my room while I was nude and talked to me as if nothing. Then a few weeks later he walked past me bathrobe on and wide-open bits hanging out in full view as I thought "I may have created d a monster" LoL. And the rest as they say, "is history", nude or not we got along just fine without any judgement. Just two co-workers while in the military sharing an apt out in town . . . Hawk

Took her to a CO state park, Hippie Hollows. First time she wouldn't take any thing off, and just looked at me like "your crazy" as I stripped naked and enjoyed the freedom. Trip after trip to HH she slowly took more off each time off. She eventually took all off months later, if not a year and now we are nudist couple at a local nudist resort. Plus we travel to nudist or CO places and visit with other nudist guys and gals.

A couple I worked with heard through the company gossip mill I had been spotted at Haulover. The husband asked me about it. I confirmed it. He was interested in nudism and I lent him some of my N magazines. He showed them to his wife. A few years later we ran into each other at Haulover. They had joined AANR and took my wife and I to Sunsport Gardens, which they had visited previously.

Many times I have walked into the men's room from the showers without replacing my swimming costume. Usually there would be other men covering themselves with towels. On seeing me they would begin to peel off their towels. We congregated to compare - even better when there were ladies present. Often some of them would thank me for getting it all started.

We have a hot tub on the back deck and quite often friends and neighbors will join us naked in it It really helps the my wife is the first one naked I think

I have no interesting stories just an observation over the years. With our group of friends they usually follow my wifes lead not that she is even intending that to happen. Once she decides to strip then the rest follow. She is uncomfortable wearing nothing when receiving guest at the door if its a nude home get together. It might happen in minutes or an hour hell I never know when she is going to get naked. I only say about her if there is such a thing as a shy nudist it is her.
Just the way it is.

We have a friend at our resort who often refers to herself as a modest nudist. When larger get-togethers happen, she usually assists with hosting. Her standard attire is a sheer wrap tied around her waist as she is chatting. It has always tickled me to see the *modest* nudist in action as she does the meet & greet. Its always a good time.

Which is why some people might be a little more "guarded" (or even appear modest) in those situations. When we go to the resort, my wife knows that everyone else will be naked; so she doesn't have much hesitation disrobing in the parking lot and being naked all day. She can also choose how social she wants to be on that particular day. In any event, she typically is not going to "appear modest." When we go to the nudist B&B, she's a little bit different. Social interactions there are unavoidable. So she's typically going to initially be a little but "guarded"; usually opting to start out with a sheer open bathrobe, or a towel held in front of her. Until she's established who else is there; and how friendly, respectful and comfortable with nudity they are. That can take a few minutes; or longer. But once a positive connection has been established, it won't take long before she decides to hang up her bathrobe/towel; and engages with them naked. But if she can, she will try to avoid being the first or only woman openly naked around everyone else. It's just not in her temperament; and it's ok. I think a lot of nudist women feel the same way. But I digress...

Yes,many times, most recently I was at a spot that had a nice swimming hole and a sandy beach, I went down there and went skinny-dipping and just laid out naked sunbathing.After awhile I went up to my vehicle to get some beers, left my trunks at the beach. There was a camper van up there with a couple there. The woman saw me and started walking towards me,I grabbed a towel and covered up. She asked if this was ok to camp,I said yes, people do it all the time, including me. I said good thing you didn't come over to the beach as I was down there naked.She said ok, come over and tell her husband, which I did, he said great lets all go down there. She said ok, but she wouldn't get naked. He already had shirt off, we all went down there and him and I got naked and went swimming and I showed him about walking upstream 30 yds and just floating down the river naked.after 30 minutes or so she took off her suit and joined us, we stayed down there all day, all of us naked. They must have sunbathed a lot because they had great all over tans.

Here in rural Nevada there is a hot spring nearby and about a year ago there was a solo female traveller who would show up a few times but always wore a swimsuit. I always go nude unless arrive to find others clothed and will knock the cobwebs off the swimsuit that is somewhere in the car. One day I'm there with 3 others and we were all wearing suits and she shows up and strips naked in front of everyone and walked around talking and socializing totally free and natural. No one showed they had a problem with it as they shouldn't. Natural hot springs are known for being just that. The usual custom is be courteous and ask others already there. Ayway, after the clothed vistors left she told me that I and others had opened her up to nudism and she was looking to go to other hot springs around the western US.

I'm not sure about Vegas. I avoid that place like it's the plauge. I'm 3 hrs north. In the middle of no-wear.
