PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterJun 13, 2009The forum did have me pretty confused for a looooong time too, So I'll repeat this here for anyone that hasn't yet got to grips with it. The easiest way to keep up, is to keep an eye on the recent forum activity on the home page (when it's working) BUT, you have to check it 2-3 times a day, EVERY day, and even then, if it gets busy, you can still miss new comments and posts if they disappear off the bottom of the list. The only way to be sure, is to forget the home page, go straight to the forum. Look down the right-hand side at the "last posts" for anything that has been posted since you last checked. So if it's breakfast time and you were on last night, you're looking for anything that was posted less than, or up to, 8 or to be on the safe side, 10 hours ago. Don't click on the post, go across to the left and click on THAT posts FORUM. That shows you all the posts in THAT forum, and there might be a recent comment on ANOTHER post that you will not have seen. Then click on the post to see the new comment, and after, hit the back button to see any other recent activity in the SAME forum. If none, (or when you've read them) click back again to the main forum list, and go down the list as before, looking for anthing that was posted less than 8-10 hours ago, and do the same process for all the forums that have had recent activity. That imho, is the only way to be sure you don't miss anything. It would be much easier, it the recent activity list on the home page was twice as long, it has been requested ages ago, perhaps this will jog TT's memory. Phil.

PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterJun 24, 2009Thought it wouldn't hurt to put it on this thread as well :)
I have posted this in computer group but will aslo include it here. These are the rules you agree to before you go in to chat room. Chat Room Rules and Regulations 1. No Sexual Discussion, or Sexual Activities on Chat 2. No Crotch Shots. Faces on cam please. 3. If you do not want to be seen on your cam. Do not use it. Your cam is visible to all users. 4. Please talk nice. No trolling. 5. Flag users who do not follow the rules. 6. Have Fun! If you want to use your cam in chat, under your picture there are buttons marked A and V. The A is for audio and allows you to use your mike if you have on. The V is for your video. If the cam does not come up, you may have to click settings which is under these buttons and select your camera. If you use a Mac instead of a PC, I think you will need to select firewire under settings. You will have to have the needed drivers and software for your camera loaded before you try it. The way to tell who has cam or audio on is by looking for the green A or V next to their name in list of who is in room. Once you turn your audio or video on, you can tell who is viewing or listening by looking for a blue A or V next to their name in the me column. To view a person's cam or listen to their audio, click on their name in list of who is in room. There is aso a button to view their profile or block that person. If you want to view or listen to more than one person, click the dock button next to their pic under the room list. Then you can click on the other person you wish to view. The block button will prevent that person from viewing your cam and you won't see what they type in room. There is no private chat as such, but once you are certified you can send a message to just one person by sending " your message " I had to enclose in quotes to make message apear correctly. Do not use the quotes in chat room or everyone will see what you sent. The chat is for normal discussion, sexual activity is not allowed. If someone comes in and is acting inappropriatly on cam, flag the person. To flad, go to their profile and click the flag button. You will then be asked for reason for the flag. There is also a report abuse button on the chat page that I heard will record what the person says and does on cam. I have not had reson to flag anyone since the button was added so cannot give details of what happens when you do. Many people find it hard to keep up with the chat when everyone is typing in the default black. Just to the left of where you type your messages is a style button. It allows you to make your type bold, underlined, or change color. If you want to add a smiley to something you said, the button for them is to right of space you type. Whatever you type in room will have your name in green instead of black next to it to make it easier to see what you typed if someone else is using same color as you. Thomas Execllent, Thomas, thank you for taking the time to put that together! I would only add the following: It is rude to repeatedly ask someone who is on cam why they are wearing clothes or to insist that they remove their clothes. There are many reasons why someone may be dressed in the chat room. (i.e, they're at work, they're cold, etc.) It is inappropriate to ask someone to stand up so that you can see all of them. If you're viewing someone's cam for any real length of time, it's only polite to, at the very least, say hi. I know I've personally blocked people from viewing my cam because they will not initiate in any conversation. It's rude at the least and, frankly, downright creepy. It's equivalent to being at a resort and staring at someone. That behaviour is not tolerated at most nudist venues and few will tolerate it here. If you're new to the TN chat room, don't be afraid to say hi. We're a friendly bunch for the most part. Let us know that your new and we'll do our best to include you in/draw you in to the conversation. Jen
ReactReply - SWSwifthawkJul 8, 2009
I don't know if this has been mentioned before or is common knowledge, but I've recently found something new. From the "My Account" screen you have two options to view your friends. Either by viewing them or editing them. When you click on view friends they are listed in some random order that I haven't figured out yet (lol...or even bothered to try). However, when you click on edit friends, the list is in order of how long they've been on your friends list, with the oldest friends on the top of the screen. I find that handy since we are not notified when our friendship requests have been accepted, so I can just click there to find out who my newest friends are. :)

PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterJul 9, 2009Once you start to get to know your way around here, it's hard to remember what you had trouble understanding, so if any of you fairly new, newbies, can think of any more tips we can put in the FAQ's, (things that weren't obvious to you, when you joined, and took you a while to figure) please post them here and I will add them to the list in the group. Thanks. Phil.

That's why it's always changing. I think. JenReactReply

PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterAug 30, 2009Just thought it might be worth reminding everyone, that although we now have our pics protected
in our profile and the gallery, thumbnails and the main profile pics are NOT, (not that those are
much good to anyone)
BUT. if you post a pic in any of the forums, or on your profile blog, the full size pic is NOT protected,
and on a forum or group post, IS also accessible to ANYONE, without even having to log on to the site.
Profile Blogs are NOT accessible untill you log on, but are then availible to all members unless you
restrict your profile to "Friends only."ReactReply - MEMemberAug 30, 2009
What do you mean the profile pics are protected? protected from what?

PhilfreeeukOriginal PosterAug 30, 2009
What do you mean the profile pics are protected? protected from what?
Right click "Save Picture As" but even that is not fool proof.ReactReply - MEMemberAug 30, 2009I do not believe that the right click, save as, has been prevented, I am sure you can still do that. That is why I asked about how the pics are protected. On the websitewww.netnude.comif you right click on photos, it simply says that function not available...or something like that.ReactReply

Curt, or CowboyAug 30, 2009
I do not believe that the right click, save as, has been prevented, I am sure you can still do that. That is why I asked about how the pics are protected.
Yeah, they are. The "save as" link goes to a default "clear.gif" which is a single pixel blank. It's a coding trick that works for most. Do that, and you'll save a blank, single pixel gif only. True, someone like me can ALWAYS get them if so motivated, but I'm hardly typical.ReactReply - MEMemberAug 30, 2009
Thanks, as I did not go past the right click and seeing the menu to save as, I assumed it would work. As I did not nor want to save any pics, I did not go further than that.
Question answered , thank you.ReactReply - PH
