It's not a perfect system, but weeds out most fakes from becoming certified.

  The nude picture (I suspect) is not to verify your gender as much as it is an attempt to weed out those that are not actually a nudist.

  I believe it says that while you must be nude, you don't need to give them a full frontal if you're not comfortable.  Holding the sign over your midsection on a head to toe nude shot will likely work.
  So yes, one image nude, one image clothed, both with the sign in full view.

  Many thanks for the info everyone. Really appreciated and really valuable insight. On a different topic, and one that really bugs me is about having to pay for more than just the basic site, this is social media after all and I think it's a bit out of order to charge people. Social Media should be free, porn sites charge money.
  But as I said, that's a different topic altogether.

  wrote the name on a piece of paper and took a picture of someone,

  I disagree. I can take a picture of a female friend holding the piece of paper and open an account claiming to be a woman.
