This is regarding the pictures on this website - does the existence of nude photos (with or without face) increase the chances of friend requests being accepted?

No.   It is what else is viewed on your profile.

The first thing that I check. Is to see if the person is a certified member. I do have friends that are not certified, but I like to see if a  member is certified ..

The important thing is what's in the profile and is the profile open for all. Pics are nice but, for me, they don't have to be nude. This site is about meeting people and not seeing naked bodies.

It does not matter to me whether a profile has nude photos or not, similarly a face is nice but not essential.

There are many folks on this site who are reluctant to post photos with an identifiable face on them.  The partner of one of my TN friends is quite happpy to have nude photos of herself but without her face as she is in a job where this could have unwanted repercussions.

Then again I know of one lady here who refuses to befriend anyone who does not have "proper" (ie outdoor) nude photos on their profile.

As DestertRat mentioned if you have an open and filled out profile you are more likely to get folks connecting with you.  The profile does not need to be in depth giving your name job and all your personal details; just as much as you are comfortable with.

To answer the question on your profile page: After you upload a photo (the choice is not part of the upload process itself) you can mark the photo as "friends only."  A small version of your main profile photo will be visible in some contexts, regardless, so choose something you don't mind people seeing. f you have the choice of a face picture or a nude one, and do not feel

comfortable putting up both of them, put up the face picture.
There is individuals on here with over 200 photos. out of experience, I don't want to see as much. Usually I will read what's on the profile and then accept or decline.

I second what uechi11 said, a couple of pictures is more than enough, however I do prefer for their peofile to be open for all to read. If not I will more likely decline.

I think most people on the site do give preference to friending those with pictures, and this  might be because, without any pictrues, I'm not quite sure what people would do on the site!
Seriously?  The value of this site to me has NOTHING to do with pictures.  What is written on a person's profile, and the things they say in chat are the most important factors in whether we friend them or accept friend requests.  The only time pictures play a part are when the person's pictures are in any way sexual...then we will not accept that person's request.

Since I rarely go into chat, I base my decision on messaging. The people on my friends list are they because they started out by messaging me. The quality of the messages is what prompted me to add people.

"I am trying to figure out how to put another picture on my profile. Mine is kind of blurred. I know the upload must be somewhere easy to find, but it is hiding from me!"
Go to home, click pictures. A dropdown box will appear. Click upload pictures.

To pick your profile picture, click Home at the top of the page. Down the left side click on pictures. In the main window you will see thumbnails of your pictures with buttons under each. For the picture you want as your profile, click the make default button.
