Sep 30, 2015There's no forum for "Frequently Wondered Questions" so I thought I'd post this here. What's up with the "Popularity" number? And who decides? And what factors are used to determine it? And does anybody really give a rat's a$$? lol! Some things around here make sense to me, the forums and groups for example. And some things don't. Like the popularity number for example. Can someone please tell me .... uh ...... wtf?

SteveSep 30, 2015Seems to be friend count - certainly if you sort a search by popularity, the top profiles have massive friend lists.ReactReply - GS

StevieLornaSep 30, 2015I always thought as the most popular you get to wear a crown (paradoxically) at the TN prom.

DesertRatOct 1, 2015Popularity is determined by the number of visits to your profile page. I just added a thread today about stuck numbers. Seems like these numbers haven't been moving lately.ReactReply - GS
GSNPhilOriginal PosterOct 1, 2015
I just added a thread today about stuck numbers.
I saw that. I've wondered what that number represents but I've never noticed exactly what my number is. But I guess mine must have been stuck too, and I just didn't realize it. Just seems like, with all the stats that might be of interest to someone, "popularity" is such an odd statistic to track. Especially since "profile views" is already available in the same glance. Anyhow, all I know for sure is that I won't be the one wearing the crown to the prom lol!ReactReply
