I assume in the last week or so since the other time you posted this, you have had the chance to read much of the forum posts and experiment with nudity in your home or yard. Therefor this lifestyle must not be for you and that is OK. Feel free to continue to read the new posts and ask specific questions as you think of them. Many of us did not get the lifestyle until we were much older than you. You have joined a nudist community here and as far as I know, not been too disruptive so there is hope that you will learn to enjoy the simplest joys of life.

Many of us find the best way to relax after a stressful day is to undress at home and do the same things anyone else would do, just without the textile bindings.

true. you still don't understand,but now you want to know the point. Let me answer with another question.

What is the point of vanilla ice cream?

Some people just like it better. We nudists like to be nude when practical.

Natureboy said it best with the Vanilla Ice Cream Question. It's all about personal preference and nothing more. Reasons why some do it, are the total opposite of why others do it, so it really doesn't matter. This thread can go on and on but I think you have your answer. If you want to try it, then go ahead and if not, that's fine too.

I enjoy being nude in my truck and doing my job when I'm out in a wheat field loading a combine when the farmer has signed his paper work and helped me load the dual tires. But once he has left off come the clothes and the rest of the job is done free of clothes. I hope this coming summer brings even more of that. I don't really understand you either. Because being nude is freedom from restrictions of any kind!!

Now, after the second question posted by you on here, it should be quiet clear to you, of what the point is, of being a nudist. You may not understand for yourself, lest yourself of being a nudist. Nobody will ever force you into nudism. Reading your interests section in your profile, about contracting diseases from the forests... Since I 'm a naturist and brushed through many forests on this planet and different climate zones, not once did I ever contract any disease of any kind by dwelling out there in nature, playing in the mud, hiking in the rain, leaches latching on, mosquito bites, scratches and bumps....I'm as healthy as ever and I will keep enjoying myself nude, as I feel far too, restricted by wearing irretating textile on my skin. Besides, there is nothing to hide being nude. This is how we came and this is how we go, might as well enjoy it all the way.

I don't mean for this to come off as sounding rude, but how is your understanding of nudism coming along Nightowl? It's been a while since we've last heard from you and I'm curious about how far along you've come since then.

I do encourage you to give the lifestyle a try, Nightowl. I recommend starting slow. You're male, correct? Then chances are you've probably already gone shirtless before. Perhaps you could begin by doing so more often. It's a start that you may be comfortable with.

I read a lot of good points for nudism by people on here. The question should be whats the point of not being a nudists? Why do we need to put clothes on to go swimming? That is about as stupid as can be. You can't come in here without clothes on. What? Someone may look at your privates and be offended. Tell them to grow up. You don't put on clothes to take a bath for gods sake why should you to go swimming?

Being nude just feels good (to me at least)

You don't have to worry about sticky clothing that ride up in all the wrong places.
Like other have said nudism is not for everyone just like vanilla ice cream, those who like it really enjoy it but those that don't just don't do it.

Being a nudist does not even mean you have to be nude around other people it just means you like the freedom of no clothing.

Social nudism is a lot different than what is in many people's minds, there is nothing sexual about it (or at least there should not be).
People at nude resorts do not stare at each other and don't really think about the nudism all around them. It is just a great, relaxing social experience that I think everyone should try at least twice. The first time may seem strange for some but after the second time you will probably be very comfortable with it.

Just remember that if you ever decide to go to a resort that they are not all the same, and some are not really nudist resorts but some kink stuff masked as a nudist resort, check out the aanr website to find out about resorts near you.

Being a nudist is about individual freedom of self expression.Being nude is relaxing.Some nudist spend all of their nude time in the privacy of their home.As for myself,I want to be outside,with other nudist.A walk on a nature trail is great when you are nude.Playing volleyball,on land or in the water is great when you are nude. Being able to do things nude,helps me to get rid of stress.And I am getting a nice all over tan.

A better question would be: Why wear clothing?

Clothing has obvious advantages in many situations, however, why wear clothing at times when it is more practical and comfortable to be without?

When I travel to charter a boat the only clothes I have to take are the ones I'm wearing to and from the airport. 2. When it rains I do not have to worry about putting on a rain suit and spending the day stewing in my sweat in an attempt to stay dry. 3. When I haul the anchor I do not care if I get mud on me. I just rinse it off and I'm dry by the time I walk back to the cockpit. 4. I can enjoy the HOT summer and do not have to install Air Conditioning on my boat. 5. I do not have to worry about having to do laundry.6. My boys love to swing in the warm ocean breeze.7. No tan lines.8. Boats that anchor near me become friends or leave quickly.9. Dirt stains wash right off.10. Showers on the foredeck have the best view in the achorage.

[/quote]Exactly. I've come to the conclusion that nudists are a bit more evolved and much more enlightened than the rest of the body phobic world. We just get it.
