You are a lucky fellow. My wife has tried it a few times but never embraced it as yours obviously did. I hold absolutely no hope for her to change anytime soon. cn

Luv2bNakeyJan 2, 2011Once upon a time, I wanted a better tan. Now I know how foolish it is to risk skin cancer. Nonetheless, it is still comfortable to be nude. Some skin Dr's are starting to say that 15 mins of sun 3 times a week with no sunscreen on can actually be benificial! And may even help prevent skin cancer. Not to mention it's one of the best ways to get Vit D into your body. (Get the sun before you bathe with soap as the oil on ur skin is part of making Vit D ). After that.... lather up with the spf30 or higher and enjoy the sun..... I know I love the sun on my whole body.... feels great!ReactReply - DADanandJanetteJan 2, 2011[quote]attempts to bounce the garbage off the hoem page would be my guess, NIM!

BareandhappyMar 17, 2011As a female myself there are many reasons why I love being nude. I would aussume (correct me if I am wrong :D) that a lady and a man have very similar motivations. It all started with I loved the feeling of sleeping nude and not becomming tangled in a mess of PJ's by the morning hours. Then the thoughts why dress ASAP from the shower, it's much easier to not hide behind a towel. Through the years of "closet home nudism" I began to realize the benefits I saw in my own self image. I became much more accepting of my own body and bodies of others (a medical profession helped that along too!) I don't know if this sheds any light on the topic but I figured I had to make my first post somewhere :D

ChuckOct 2, 2011I really don't know what motivates girls to become a nudist, but I can tell that my late wife would not disrobe in public under any circumstance. I tried for many years to get her to attend a nudist venue with me. She absolutely refused to go.

nudonyOct 26, 2011I'll tell my little story. It took me about about year to get my (X) wife to the resort. She went nude about 10 mns the first time; and that was on a slow weekday with only a couple of people around. After that, she went nude here and there, usually in the pool or hot-tub, or sitting by the pool the next two or three visits. Never getting up and walking around nude without either a sarong or towel. Body acceptance issues were the reason given.
And then we go to a get-together at a nudist home. She doesn't want to be there, is mad at me, wraps herself defensively in her sarong, is not going to take it off "no matter what." There are a bunch of nude ladies in the kitchen, they pull my wife in to help them; I see her face light up. An hour goes by. I suddenly hear "dinner is ready", turn around and see my wife completely nude with a big grin standing in the doorway... She helps bring the food outside, stands behind the table and starts filling plates. I get in line, get my plate with a (?) look on my face and she just smiles at me. When everyone has their plate, I expect she will now run back to her sarong. I'm wrong. She is now walking around, still nude and still smiling, asking everyone how was their meal. If they'd like seconds. Someone tells me I'm lucky to have a wife who is so comfortable being nude. I tell him it's all actually quite new to me...
After all this, she finally fixes herself a plate and sits next to me. I ask her where her sarong is. She giggles and says she thinks she's lost it. She stays nude the rest of the evening and is actually the last person to get dressed as she stays behind to help put up the leftovers...
The moral of my story is that women "integrate" nudity differently than us guys do. Guys just want to get out and get nude. Women need a reason other than "to make my S/O happy." Why was it that my wife came to tie nudity with a "good meal"? I have no idea. All she said was that getting nude with these women to help make dinner....just seemed "normal". She had on her sarong; when she got into actually cooking and focused on it, she easily and effortlessly tossed her sarong aside. I've seen the same thing occur with new Moms: nudity and nurturing become intertwined. Sometimes it's physical activity...a friend of mine tried nude yoga and now prefers to exercise nude - she went to a resort just so she could play volleyball nude. The trick, of course, is finding out what venue or activity your S/O can integrate nudity with. I would have never guessed that a kitchen would get my wife to toss it all off and not look back. What can get yours to do the same?ReactReply - KIKing_DavidOct 30, 2011
All girls are born nude. The real question is, what motivates girls to become clothed?

Some really good inut. Some of us naturally tried to go nude when we were young so it just wasn't a question that we would try it but when. In the medwest our newpapers will nt even print any national articles that indicate nudity, so how is anybody to get the idea that it might be ok

Dario WesternNov 14, 2011I am planning to take a young lady who is the lead singer for one of my bands Laissez-Fayre to BALKAZ for the first time. She's known that I'm a nudist right from the time I met her which was in mid-September, but she's said that she won't perform nude herself. She is originally from Townsville and I think that some of her friends up there told her what naturism was about.
Anyway, if she enjoys herself at the venue and is willing to join in the scene then I'll tell her about this site so that she can have her say as well. :-)ReactReply - DW
Dario WesternNov 14, 2011Should we be encouraging girls to get drunk before they feel comfortable enough taking their clothes off? I don't agree with this being a Christian myself.
The Bible states: Habbakuk 2:15 "Woe to you who make your neighbors drink, Who mix in your venom even to make them drunk So as to look on their nakedness!"
If you can't get a girl to be comfortable naked whilst she is sober, forget about introducing her to nudism. Nudism and alcohol abuse should NOT go together.ReactReply - RA
ravensflyinnowNov 14, 2011I don't think there is a difference between what motivates a man or a woman to become a nudist! I think the question should be...what hinders the woman from becoming a nudist? Could it be all the pervy men out there?? What motivated me is to get out out of my clothes...the freedom to be me!!ReactReply - MA

BobJan 19, 2012First I am fairly new to this web site. I am doing a lot of reading before doing much typing.
I liked this thread. It had some good insight from the ladies. My wife is adamantly against trying social nudity. I have seen here and in other places many stories that boil down to “try it you may like it.†I just have not been very good at selling that. I will not force or trick my wife into it.
Thank you ladies

DJul 26, 2015Definitely our society...that's what convinces people that nudity is bad. This really needs to change!ReactReply - MEMemberAug 31, 2015I think it varies from woman to woman; each has her own ideas as to the acceptability of public nudity. My wife is currently experimenting with walking around the house nude. As soon as it becomes more acceptable to her, I hope to get her nude at a local resort. We'll see. As soon as I know what motivates her to become nude....well...we'll all know.ReactReply

i considered myself to be fairly attractive, during high school, the first love of my life made me feel i was an ugly duckling. others guys would asked me out and i refuse. after having an heated argument with my bf i told him to dropped me off at my home. the argument continue, so i got out of the car and begin taking one piece of clothing at a time, as each piece came off i began to feel better, once i was completely nude i felt the world off my shouders, a new life in me. i felt so alive, a stonger person that did not have to tolerate my bf actions.

nudonyApr 3, 2016If I alter the post name to be what motivateswomento becomenudists, I think it becomes a much more interesting topic, IMHO.- And I think, at least in my experience, the answer to that question is often: other women.
- Most of the time, men will actually seek out nudist opportunities - like a personal mission. Whilst on the other hand women are encouraged/persuaded to accompany - usually by a peer or S/O.
- This is due to the fact that women often have a lot more "baggage"/hang-ups than us guys when it comes to being around nudists or publicly nude.
- What I've observed is once they get there, and have the opportunity to see other women being openly nude and totally comfortable with it, well it makes an impression. Their thoughts and feelings about what it means to be socially nude is reexamined.
- When my S/O accompanied me to Club O., she did so with the intent of just very briefly going topfree. But after seeing so many other women nude or topless, and talking to a few of them, she decided to remain topfree; and eventually went nude because the interaction with nudists dispelled her fears and hang-ups.
- Likewise my X became a nudist after interacting with a group of women at a get-together. Same deal; as she socialized with nudist women, she started feeling that her sarong was just a crutch, and she let it go, quickly embracing being nude with these women. My X got to the opportunity to "pass it forward", by befriending, while at another get-together, a befuddled textile wife in attendance. Talking and socializing with my nude wife, who was unconcerned by her nudity, obviously triggered a positive response; as the befuddled textile wife, who hade never been nude socially, eventually got motivated to join her, disrobing and spending the rest of the day nude socializing with my X (on a side note the husband became the befuddled one when he saw his very reluctant wife chatting completely naked with mine.)
- I've also seen it many times at the nude beach, where a group
of girlfriends show up together; and one goes nude -
motivating the other(s) to join. I think we
(the men) can lead them to nudism; but it often takes other women
to lead them to nudism. Hence the importance of committed
female nudists: the growth of female nudism hinges a lot on
them.
