my home was broken into and my phone was stolen. my phone had pictures from my honeymoon on it if you know what i mean. yes i know i should have gotten rid of them but anyway. i am comfortable enough with nudity that it really doesnt bother me but my wife is starting to freak out a little that people have pictures of her in intimate situations. does anyone have any advice to help comfort her?

DavidJan 18, 2011If you haven't already, call your service provider immediatley and ask them to 'lock' the phone. This will make it much harder for anyone to access your private stuff. Good luck, Dave

Yes call your service provider and let them know what happened. Unfortunately our private things are not always safe and a cellphone is probably one of the least safe places to keep private photos of yourself.
These things can happen and just let her know that nothing will come of it, using her pictures in any way in the public would be a serious breech of privacy and then could be taken into law-enforcements hands. It's likely that whoever stole your phone will be hoping to get some free use out of it rather than care much about your pictures. The most important thing you do is to take steps to make sure your account is secure.

BorisJan 18, 2011Get your phone as soon as you can, then let the police know they can usually can track your phone as long as it's still got power and hasn't been switched off. (I know this is the case in the UK not sure about elsewhere.) I've had the same thing happen and my pictures did turn up on a few websites a few years later.

ManOfWicklowMay 30, 2015Take some more photos of your wife in the same position and surroundings and then use TinEye search to see if any of the pictures have surfaced. If they haven't now after five years, then don't worry about it. Just be careful about what photos you take in future.ReactReply - T=
