All Male Colleges — General Discussion on True Nudists

For the mostly older members who attended all male colleges, was casual nudity common in dorms. athletic facilities, etc?
Someone who used to be on another nudist board described the very nude friendly atmosphere at his all male college in the 60s.
Two of the examples he posted.
When he and his roommate were getting settled in at the beginning of their freshman year, the two upperclassmen who had volunteered to help them get acclimated were nude when they came to their room to introduce themselves. The two freshmen followed their example and stripped before finishing unpacking and touring the dorm with the upperclassmen.
The college had an intramural program run by upperclassmen. He was the swimming coordinator. There was an annnual informatin session in the gym to encourage students to participate, The coordinators had presentations to give the students an understanding of the programs. He and the gymnastics coordinator were nude for their presentations.

His history tells us he would rather believe the utter bollocks he regurgitates than listen to experienced nudists who tell him truths that he doesnt want to hear?

I have a couple of relatives that attended all women colleges but have never heard of men only. Maybe I've been sheltered?? The varied military schools until relatively recently were all male. I just did a quick Google search and it listed three that were private, non-religious schools for men only.

of course there were all male colleges. for the first few centuries of higher education, all colleges were all male. many of them started admitting women only in the middle of the 20th century.

to those who call bullshit, the original post sounds a lot like my college experience 1966-70. we were naked a lot in the dorms. the objection sounds like the young guys who simply cannot believe that men swan naked at the YMCA or that we took showers after gym class in high school.
the ones who call bullshit are old enough to know better.

I attended an all male college and was on the basketball team. Nothing like this ever happened. Yes nude showers but that was it.

All male nude family Korean spa / Jjimjilbang. Room with hot tubs, cold tub, kids tub, sauna, steam room, stand up showers, sit down showers big multi station jacuzzi pool. Nudity required to be in that room off the locker room. The females have the same thing off their womens locker room. It isnt a sexual place you can watch a video on Conan visits a Korean spa with Steven Yeun. Look up sento, onsen also and see for yourself.

John aka cobeachbum[/quote] Not college, but there was a Yahoo group called YMCA naked that talked about how nudity was mandatory in the pool and optional for some or all athletic activities and in the dorm common areas at some Ys.

Nakedness at an all male college, bullshit story or not, one thing it definitely isnt is nudism. One old mans naked fantasy is not going to change that.

My college wasn't all male but I spent a semester in an all male dorm. It was a long hall with rooms on each side. Rooms had just a sink and two beds. Midway on the hall were the toilets on one side and showers on the other. So it was common to see naked (sometimes towel wrapped) guys coming and going to the showers. Just a long row of shower heads sticking out of the wall. I don't remember anyone ever even making a comment about it. Only memory related to that was when somebody towel snapping somebody else in the hall, which drew a response, which drew more participants, which soon devolved into a full blown fist fight. I've seen bar fights before but that was the first and last time I've ever saw a bunch of naked guys beating the crap out of each other. I doubt any of those guys considered themselves a nudist though.

My experience is similar to what has been stated above. I was in an all male dorm at university where casual nudity was fairly common. There were two bathrooms with gang showers on each floor and after the first month or so, most would walk to and from the shower wrapped in a towel or for the less shy among us (about 35%) fully naked carrying our towel with our soap/shampoo. It wasn't unusual to change or get dressed without closing one's door since we had all seen each other in the shower by then. There were maybe two or three guys that were quite shy and always showered late at night or very early in the morning so they could shower alone.

I went to an engineering school with a pretty high male:female ratio, and spent my freshman year in an all male dorm. Did I see walking to/from the showers in a towel... probably; walking around nude... no way. Girls could easily get onto the floors of our dorm and it was not unheard of for one or two to walk into the bathroom and watch the guys in the open gang showers, but I never heard of the other way around ever happening. I spent the rest of my college life living in my fraternity's house. Still nobody walking around nude.

No matter how many people say no, he will keep believing a lie that suits him. Some would call that gullible I think its more being naive as to what nudism is.

To the best of my knowledge. the group ended when Yahoo stopped supporting groups. Nude Sleepers Form and Freeballers Forum on Tapatalk both have some. Despite their names, they both have significant dicussion of nudity in general. The current Freeballers Forum is a restart and the history was lost.
