  I fly my flag 24/7. It is  LITE UP at night
  I fly a second flag in front of my house.

  [quote]how many Americans fly our national flag daily and not just on flag day or for the 4 th of July, not to get political here but in this trying times i suggest we unite and not fly it on special occasions but every day. i am proud of our flag and the freedom it stands for.[/quote]    I am a Canadian but I would like to chime in on this subject.  Congratulations to all of you who respect your flag and fly it daily.  It represents all that is great about the U.S. and its history.  It is symbolic of pride and respect and helps to define you as a nation and a people. I fly the Canadian flag daily and when I have visitors from the U.S. I fly the American flag alongside it.

  When I lived in Okla. and had the flag presented to me at my grandfather's funeral a bunch of years ago, the flag was flown every day/night.   When it was stolen, I didn't replace it.   For a while when I moved to my SC home, we had a small one on a short staff flying. Now we don't have a flag, but when we get the pool and bunkhouse, I'm thinking seriously about putting up a flag pole for Ol' Glory and have Travelites flag flying beneath it.

  Cheri, we had a Military funeral for my Father in Law as couple of years ago, we put his flag in a display case, but honestly I'd like to fly it on Memorial day, but it's still to emotional for my wife.

  I have been flying the American Flag, on the front of my house, every day for about 10 years now.

  We have a six foot red and blue with white stars windsock that hangs on the front of our house.  Because we don't have a way to light it,  we fly our flag on the holidays.

  proud to see so many of us honoring our countries, the flag is just not fabric but a symbol of freedom and a reminder of the past, may it continue to fly proudly for freedom..
