Do your homework and speak out against discrimination. Consider a nudist community retirement if you're a heterosexual couple with a wife who plans to outlive the hubby. The article was written by the executive director of AANR. His organization makes no apparent efforts to educate people about appropriate nudist codes of conduct, but is complicit in allowing discriminatory resort policies against single men. At least here in the Midwestern US, a single dad like me with two sons is never welcome. Such policies can lead to closed, matriarchal and cliquishly repressive communities. Attitudes in warmer climates may be more accepting.

Maybe it's more that I wouldn't want to "retire" to any gated, set-apart community. I genuinely enjoy being a part of my neighborhood - trading plants and produce with the neighbors, serving as the headquarters of our buying club/co-op, showing some of their guests around our place for the "farm tour" experience. I enjoy the fact that there are a real variety of people around.
