I've been a nudist, probably my whole life, though I didn't label it as such until almost ten years ago after I had Googled "stress relief" and did a little reading.
Among the most attractive traits of the proclaimed principles of nudism is acceptance of others at a higher level than found in the textile world.
Not long after that, I found this site, and learned even more about nudism and developed a hope of making that a part of my regular life. At the same time I also found this a place to enjoy another activity. The discussion of current events.
For years; as someone who spent a lot of time in my car, I've enjoyed talk radio but a lot of my friends aren't tuned into politics and the occasional discussions we would have, sometimes resulted in frustration or tension. From my experience, that's because of the fundamental difference between liberal and conservative thought that is so eloquently framed in a favorite quote:
"Life is a tragedy for those who feel. And a comedy for those who think."
In other words, liberal policies (of the non-actors) are built on the unreliable foundation of emotion while conservative positions are secured to a fundamental bedrock of principles outlined in the US Constitution and The Bible.
Here at TN for quite a while, we had a period where the same truths held out. A few of us conservatives would engage with others in a heavily weighted liberal community. Some people got nasty (even on the right) while others conducted enjoyable banter. But us conservatives were definitely labeled here.
During my one and so far, only visit to a nudist resort, I clothed myself in normalcy and found it to be everything that I expected. Even though I was visiting as a single male, I was welcomed by many people and it was very much a non-sexual atmosphere. One or twice over the long weekend, there were discussions that touched on politics, but I didn't engage. I met a lot of people from all walks of life, and had good conversations.
And thus my question.
I can have a good time free of political discussions, but at the same time; I enjoy them. I do so free of personal insults, though I have found that my liberal friends online and in person; have trouble doing so and feelings get hurt. So I avoid them most of the time in person.
Is the same true at nudist resorts?
Or is it truly more accepting?

Reuben TitusFeb 12, 2018I don't know. Like you, only one resort visit so far. And that was a good one. I plan on many more. And it helps to have a reason to go. like a pre scheduled group meeting. And I see much truth in the sentence of feel versus think. That vast difference is what's always getting my cousin in trouble, and keeping me out of trouble. (until my conservative and strongly Christian views offend some liberal who lives by feeling instead of reason)
I also enjoy discussion on many topics, and like to keep discussion on a calm reasoning level. But since I tend to think slow in words, Typing things out works better for me than talking live. After researching many things in my life, I finally have something to talk about, and some strong beliefs and opinions on things. Some of it goes far beyond normal knowledge in certain subjects. Religion, energy technology, agriculture, health, etc. But it benefits no one unless I can put it to good use. So that I intend to do. Particularly the nude lifestyle in garden. grow it high quality and eat it right off the plant. God's plan carried out as best I can in this world. That's where real health can be found.ReactReply
