Is it just me, is it perhaps my age, or do you find that many posts are unnecessarily long. Sometimes we have people replying to a simple question where yes or no would suffice, but use a thousand words and after reading halfway through, you then can't even remember what the thread was about.

I accept there are times when a somewhat lengthy answer maybe appropriate, especially from our dear friend NudeInMA. But then he is our one and only resident encyclopedia.

Now this post is getting too long, so I'll ask the question once again, as you may have forgotten it after reading this lot.  Do you think many of the posts are too long.

No. We all share a common lifestyle but it stops there. Some have alot of good stuff to say and some of us have time to read it. Personally I am just on the brief side posting and often look for the main points in a long read. I do try to use a few manners when i do post long - sentience and paragraph structure, caps and periods and where there is a choice a readable font and stationary.

No, generally speaking.  However if the post is too long, I don't read it, because I lose the train of thought in the middle of it.

Yes, if fact when posts are very long, I lose interest and stop reading them. If you can't make your point in a couple of sentences then usually your argument is not well thought out.

Depends on the context, and the subject.
Many are excessively wordy. Sometimes it's necessary, but not so often as some seem to think.
( unless the intent is to write a book )
The average English sentence length is about 14 words. Here's a challenge for the short-post fans: in 28 words or less (two sentences), provide an effective, irrefutable defense of nudism against the nudity=sex "arguments" presented by people citing sexual activity on nude/CO beaches.

    [br
NIM, what are you trying to do to me. I'm short circuiting just at the thought of this one, I may need a little time to compose.

Something's amiss with the quoting. It can't be me because I've not partken in my usual nightly sour mash ritual, yet.

(IMO)  I do think that most post are fine in length; however, there are a few that do seem to go overboard from time to time.  There are some that need to be lengthy replies, but do think there are those that just keep on and keep on just to beat a dead horse.

You can work on correcting that.
